Hey MDS, have a question regarding gun sales. I have a couple rifles I'm looking to part with, bought em long before the 2013 ban, but now they're on the list, can't sell em in MD, etc etc.
I know the laws of buying selling in MD, but how do I sell to someone out of state? Ship to an FFL? Do...
I appreciate it. I did end up hearing back last night. They offered to media blast it, re finish and replace internals. I'm grudgingly ok with that, mainly because, well, it's damn near new slide and it comes back with internal rust. Exterior is one thing, but having a coat of it thick enough...
Yeah, me too. The only way they could've pulled it off is if it sat in the lubricant all day then they reassembled without bothering to dry it off. It's been a day and no response yet. I'm not holding my breath.
Hi guys, not sure if this is the right section or not, but if you even want to get cutouts for pistol optics, DO NOT go with JagerWerks out of Michigan. I sent my 34 slide, practically brand new (about 6 months old) to them to get cuts for a Burris Fastfire III.
Got it back after 4 weeks and...
I don't disagree with you, but for the years prior, gun education was welcomed. Now we've gotten to the point where you have to talk about guns in a hushed voice when you're in public.
I also don't think people are stupid, but they are blissfully ignorant. Chambering sideways with the muzzle...
Thanks for the responses so far, but just to be clear:
The problem IS NOT about having a juvenile record. When I turned 30, any juvenile history became irrelevant. I'm damn near 40 now and I CAN get an HQL easily.
The problem IS that I don't trust MSP after they threatened me with arrest for...
Good points. I probably should have phrased it like, "Someone convince me that it's OK to trust MSP and buy a pistol in MD."
I have no problem passing background checks, fingerprinting... hell, they can interview my 1st grade teacher for all i care. If MSP can screw up and approve my pistol...
Hey folks. Can anyone dissuade my problems with the HQL and convince me to get one? A friend is selling a couple older pistols that I would absolutely LOVE to buy. Problem obviously, I don't have an HQL. Regarding guns I've always followed every letter of the law and don't plan to change that...
Took the RIA 1911 to the range today. It's no Kimber, but it wasn't bad. Desperately needs new sights though. Any smiths in SoMD that could do the simple job?
Thanks for the responses so far guys. I've done a bit of moving for work so I've gone from MD to VA then currently back to MD, but it was all before 2013, so whatever purchases I made and kept when I moved back were legal. I wonder if fixing this nonsense will ever be on Hogan's radar.
Hey guys, I have a question... I'm a longtime MD resident and have some of the guns on the current "bad" list that are grandfathered in since I bought em 10+ years ago, namely the M1A and an M4gery with the evil non-HBAR barrel.
I got a job offer in Richmond. I will not uproot my family for...
