      What has the worst recoil that you've ever shot?

      My old-style Ruger Super Blackhawk, .44 MAg w/ 7-1/2" barrel is plenty stiff. But the worst I ever shot was my brother's TC Contender handgun in .30-06 with the 15" barrel. I only fired it once.

      I would have to vote for the .44 Mag. My Super Blackhawk points well, has manageable recoil and I know it will drop a deer instantly, although you shouldn't expect to eat a rabbit shot with it.

      My safe is on my basement Never had a problem and don't use anything. My brother's is in his garage, no golden rod but a couple of 5-lb desiccant bags. He still gets rust and also mold on any leather.

      Moms demand action at it again

      I suspect they will have more gun-owners than they know about. That library has for several years required employees to be escorted to their cars after dark. The uhh ... local demographics make it one of the places around here where a red flag report might actually be worth while if it applied...
