I've been blessed a few times to get spats between an Eagle and one of the resident Peregrine Falcons.

One of the FB groups I participate in has daily themes. Yesterday's theme was "POTD - Photographer's Choice". I chose this one from my backyard, Fall 2023.

Ah, they should be in the nest. They were about the only two on the fence side of the island I saw last trip out. I got them a couple of times making whoopie on the towers out front. Let me look back. 1/27/24 - first two; 2/19/24 - last set

I don't remember if I've posted this one here before or not. I had been going to the dam for about a year when I got it. Shot with a Nikon D7200 and a borrowed Sigma 50-500. Favorite braided line for spinning reels

Yeah. I used it (55#) in the surf when I was in Jersey. Great stuff, but expensive (at the time. haven't looked it it lately). 40-60# leader. I was after Stripers and Blues mostly so the heave leader was necessary for the Blues.

Favorite braided line for spinning reels

I used to use Suffix 832, but a couple of years ago switched over to Daiwa J Braid, 8 strand. The Daiwa is more quiet on the retrieve and is also a little cheaper and I just like it overall better than the Suffix. I use Yozuri Hybrid or Sunline Sniper for fluoro main line or leaders for a few...
