      30 day wait question

      Filled out paperwork for m&p on 12/29 and picked up the gun on 1/16/13. Is the 30 day wait from the 29th or when I picked up the gun after being "not disapproved?" Can I purchase a new firearm (regulated) prior to the 30 day period knowing the paperwork is so backed up that I wouldnt't hear...
