Because their budget only allows for a certain amount of new hires per fiscal year. Don't forget that even if they did hire more people they would be waiting on the application process and background checks for those people as well. It's not a simple walk in and get hired type of thing...
I don't know, I went two weeks ago on a Friday and there were people waiting for a rifle lane and there were open pistol lanes. Probably just hit or miss.
I'm pretty sure you are thinking of Chesapeake Outdoors near the Dominion Rd exit on Kent Island. They did that last year. I don't remember Chesapeake Guns in Grasonville doing it.
My personal favorites for the 9mm:
1. Beretta 92 FS
2. Glock 19
3. Smith and Wesson M&P
Numbers 2 and 3 are tied but since I have more rounds through the Glock 19 and carry it off duty I put it above the M&P. M&P is still a good gun though. Like everybody else said. Let him shoot and decide...
Thank you for stating what is not obvious to 10 - 15 % of the people on this forum. I've heard from more then a few LEOs that frequent this forum, wether the contribute or lurk, that have been getting close to not caring anymore or wanting to help. Seems some people are more worried about if I...
I don't count on anybody from PG, MoCo, Baltimore County or Baltimore City to vote my way. The worst crime in this state is in these jurisdictions and they are the most liberal so I don't expect their representatives to vote for anything except the liberal party line. Ask any conservative in...
Does anybody know where I can find a link to the video of the hearing or if it even exsists? I want to watch and hear what they say for myself. Also I'm sure Frosh and Raskin know they will be safely reelected since they are in one of the three biggest democratic strongholds in the state...
Flame him all you want. The guy just showed me he knows what he is talking about. If he doesn't want to do it for free then find somebody that will but remember you get what you pay for. Everybody has different levels of what they can donate or give. I wouldn't flame somebody because that...
"The Mossberg shotgun is a common weapon on the streets of Milwaukee, and agents had bought one from a felon a few weeks earlier."
I guess the felon took Joe Biden's advice and got a shotgun. I wonder how many AR-15's they bought from felons?
I don't even look at the wait time threads anymore. I guess if I was waiting to pick up a gun I might but even when I was waiting in January I quit looking at them. It was just to damn depressing, it was like counting down the days I had left when I was deployed....well maybe not that bad but...
Agreed it is a tough and fiery issue and a lot of police officers are being put in a bad position all around. Trust me when I say that seeing some of our higher ups in our departments advocate for strict gun control "on behalf of all of the officers of______ Police Department" and using our...
Redviper, A police officers life is not more important then anybody else's and I'm sorry you read it that way. As the bill pertains to only police officers that is what we were discussing. I have put my life on the line countless times for the well being of the citizens of this country and...
When a citizen attempts to take a persons freedom away on a daily basis then they will need semi autos more then the police. Be real, how many times have you encountered an armed criminal intent on injuring you or others because if it isn't everyday then most police officers have you beat...
