Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine first time out

Iver Johnson made a few true gas-operated M1 Carbines in 9x19. I've never seen one, but recall reading that they used modified P-35 Browning mags.

First-Time Gun Buyers Explain How Coronavirus Changed Their Politics

I think they specifically fear the actions of left-leaning politicians who have used the coronavirus as a reason (or excuse) to let some serious criminals out of jail and back into their communities.

      The C&R Reference Book Thread

Book of Pistols and Revolvers by W.H.B. Smith describes many early and mid-20th century handguns, listed by caliber, with cut-away views and disassembly instructions for some. Towards the back of the book is an identification section for small automatic pistols (.25, .32, and .380). I have...

What permit will you use if National Reciprocity passes

I would go with New Hampshire or Utah, after reviewing which states have reciprocity with these two.

      How Long for C&R license?

Inspect your incoming mail carefully. The license will arrive in a nondescript envelope easily mistaken for junk mail. Someone here on MDS (I forgot who) posted this pic of what the envelope looks like.

      Revolver air guns

What I've found works well is combining a precision single-shot pellet pistol for marksmanship practice, and an airsoft revolver or auto to simulate the handling characteristics of an actual firearm. Airsoft revolvers typically have brass 'cartridges' in which the airsoft pellet is loaded...

Traffic Stop with Firearms in Car

The first time I used my C&R in VA and drove back to MD I was so rattled I transported a pistol with absolutely no ammo in the car! And an extra copy of the C&R license in the gun case. I'm also wondering about the influence of vehicle appearance. Maybe I should add a 'Coexist' bumper...

Yes, Virginia Black Rifles Matter in Maine

Perhaps the sign was a tad insensitive. Maybe it should have read "Rifles of Color". :)

      Old School

Another Iver Johnson girl with a revolver ad. Iver Johnson's Arms and Cycle Works used to have a store on Chambers St. in Manhattan!

Does a 223/5.56 NATO lever rifle make any sense?

Browning also has a straight-gripped BLR, the '81, which is close to the original BLR configuration from the early '80s. And they have a limited edition takedown in .223 and .308 with rails and a flash hider! That one looks odd, but not as strange as the tactical .30-30 that Mossberg makes.

Does a 223/5.56 NATO lever rifle make any sense?

I've seen the Browning BLR mentioned as an alternative scout-type rifle. Long eye relief scope mounts are available, and the complete package should be reasonably light and handy. There is also a takedown variant of the BLR which would make it even handier as a rather expensive truck gun.
