I have a Brno #2 with a similar scope and mounts from the same year. The Serial numbers on the scope do not match those on the rifle however. The wood could use a restore, but has interesting figure.
Here is one of my Model 1 rifles, which are some of my favorite shooters.
And this is...
As one would expect, it all depends on what you are used to, or what you are comparing it to. I live in WV, just across the river from Maryland and own a home on 1.6 acres. I have a cabin in Lycoming County, PA, on 10 acres of land backing up to the Lycoming State Forest. The total taxes on...
Like many areas, you kind of have to know where to look. The upscale communities usually have covenants and restrictions that limit what you can do with your land, and if you are someplace with no restrictions at all, you probably won't like what other people are doing with/on their land! If...
With regard to the original question about living in Falling Waters - I moved there from MD about 25 years ago, and have never been sorry. There are upscale communities in Falling Waters as well as typical West Virginia type areas, and pretty much everything in between. It's close enough to...
The name is RSP gunshop. The place is open Wednesday-Saturday. The phone number is (301) 988-1967, if you want to make any inquiries. I have done business there several times, and Scott is a good guy to work with - no BS.
I have a really nice Remington 541-T, Voelker Match, which is an excellent shooting repeater, that I will probably put on the market soon.
All of the Annie 1700 series guns that I have owned are excellent shooters, from the 1700 featherweight up to the 1710 DHB. The Sako Finnfire P94S is an...
Probably the best made .22 bolt gun for the money on the market today. I have a couple, and while I would choose my Anschutz or Sako sporters for serious competition, the fact is that the difference in accuracy at 50 yards may only be a couple tenths of an inch, while the difference in price is...
The case of .22 rounds that I ordered from CMP back in January was delivered yesterday. At least that is better than what they had said it might be, which was October. Perhaps things are starting to turn around a bit.
I personally like the older bolt actions for accuracy, and find they hold their value better than the 10-22 type guns. I like my Remington 541-S and 541-T rifles, and have found a couple that will compete well against my Annie 54 Sporter, which is a much more expensive gun. If you are buying...
The Gun Show at the Harrisburg Farm Show complex this past weekend was a good show, as long as you weren't looking for ammo. Ammo was available in small quantities at high prices, as is the case pretty much every where. There were lots of guns of pretty much every tye, and prices seem to be...
I agree with BFMIN. One trip was enough for me not to be tempted to go a second time. There are much bigger shows around, with a lot more stuff, that don't cost any more to attend.
The 82G is an outstanding target gun for the money, no question. They should be a good investment for the future as well. Some junior shooters may find the gun too big and heavy for them, however, depending on the size and strength of the youngster, and the type of shooting they plan on doing...
I have some older PMC "Sidewinder" ammo that I picked up at a yard sale that shoots great. I have never any issues with any of it, in any of the 6 or 8 guns that I have shot it with. In fact, I have found it to be quite accurate out of most bolt action rifles.
It depends when and where you buy it. New, (a couple years ago) they sold with a single barrel for in the 500 range, and with the set of 4 barrels for in the 900's. That is certainly higher, but not a whole lot higher than the CZ 455 with the 4 barrel set. I generally buy my guns used, which...
