Have at it and don’t be thin skinned!
I forgot about the time in the middle of the night during a horrendous downpour and blackout, when I responded to s knock at my front door by racking a round into my Mossberg 500 at my window while yelling “That’s a good way to get yourself killed!”
The guy was quietly saying “anyone home?”…
I understand the premise, but to this point in my 63 years, I have never answered the door with an AR, shotgun, or lever action rifle in my hand. I have with a 1911, model 92, or my glock - primarily because they were easily held without being detected. My first AR was an AR9 because by the time...
I had cascade hopps going well until 2016 when I had a room added to my house, displacing my Hop crop. I dug the new one today for transplanting, I’ll plant seeds nearby as well. Beer is in my future, and my past.
A long overdue “Welcome”.... and I found some naturally occurring hops on my fence this year. I’m have yard work done so I collected a bunch of hop seeds and I’m collecting rhizomes this weekend. FYI I’m a hophead...

S&W CSX is about the same racking force as the EZ9, I have both and carry the CSX came with a 10 & 12 round mags. The 12 rounder gives a little more grip area, but some folks don’t like the trigger. I have no issues with the trigger.
Thanks for the heads up on this Gunbroker seller, I’ll be searching these guys every C&R I buy from here on out. It looks like it’s a franchise group - each an independent entity.
That’s interesting, I have one that let loose two rounds, seemingly full auto. It only happened once - at the end of a mag full. It has never reoccurred. I will check that firing pin though, because I haven’t trusted that gun since that day, I only load 5 rounds at a time for most of my range...
I’m resurrecting an ancient dead thread - because I’m running into tons of issues lately.
First a recent H&R - 929 I think. Bought it about a month ago, got to the range and every third round or so went bang! Took off the grips when I got home and sure ‘nough bits of plastic fell...
