I am fortunate to own several revolvers - different calibers different manufacturers -
If I must pick one it would be my S&W 625JM .45acp moon clips - a pleasure to shoot
My wife attended SO/LIC (Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict) conference in Washington D.C. monday-wednesday this week.
She brought back a Glock Pen and 2014 Glossy Brochure.
I have more than enough handguns of various calibers and types for a lifetime but after reading through...
For target practice I buy 9mm once fired brass reloads by the ammo can from whomever has the best online deal.
Walmart is stocking better than in the past at a reasonable price.
As far as shooting - I just point and shoot practice with handguns - with both eyes open on target (both eyes...
Not recommending this to anyone but I have several magnet strips throughout my home and in safe that are used to hold handguns.

You can buy long guns out of state - just depends on FFL. Chain stores are problematic .
I would bet at any of our out of state IPs - no problem.
I plan to buy a long gun during my xmas trip to Kentucky, and bring it back via airline - I've called ahead (kygunco) - not a problem.
I prefer VZ58 over AR15 or AK - if you haven't yet check them out.
Hickok 45 does a good comparison of VZ58 versus AK - and shoots both.
VZ58 is reliable/durable/accurate/fun to shoot/cash and carry (if configured properly) and cheap ammo - what's not to like?
