He used rifles before and was good at it according to him.
I know "small & powerful" sounds like an oxymoron.
"Medium sized & reasonably adaquate power" sounds more like it.
He will have to go to the gun shop and take a look.
Thank you.
Another question:
what would be recommended for a small business owner to keep at his shop for safety. He wants something small and powerful.
Thank you.
Hi, All,
Some of you probably remember me.
My friend the shop owner is now considering a handgun. He prefers a new one just so he knows the history of it. Where to buy a new handgun in or near Montgomery County?
There used to be a Gun Shack in Rockville. Has it moved to Mt. Airy?
Where...
The rifle is Marlin centerfire level action rifle with a riflescope. It is really heavy too, I'd say not ideal to be picked up quickly during a crisis.
Thank you for the info about registering the handgun. I need to take a day to do this. MSP is Maryland State Police, right?
Thank you. Wraping it up makes much better sense to me.
For the shop owner to keep a gun at his shop, does he need the permission from the property owner/management since he rents the place?

A few other...
Should I tell my friends who are interested in guns to fill the paperwork now? Do they have to buy a gun in order to do the paperwork or can they just have the papers on file?
Also about the transfer, I remember reading something about weapons have to be transported in the backseat of the car uncovered. Is it true? How about carrying from the car to the house/shop?
The shotgun is Mossberg 12 gauge 3 1/2" chamber 835 ulti-mag
The rifle is Marlin centerfire level...
Sorry I wasn't clear.
My friend, the business owner (not a gun shop:), wants to keep the rifle in his shop for his safety. Is this legal to do? (Like liquor stores often keep a handgun in the cashier's drawer on TV...)
Actually, I am not too worried about the prices since they are the freinds who have helped me a lot in these past 3 years. Just want to make sure we are doing the legal thing.
One of the friends is a shop owner and wants to keep the rifle in his shop. Is it legal to do?
Thank you everybody for the quick replies.
I know how to use guns. I was in the Army, that's where we met. Just don't need these many since I am not going hunting for sure and not sure if I would ever shoot anybody/anything with a shot gun.
I am keeping the handgun for myself. Do I need to...
Hi,
My husband passed away 3 years ago and left a handgun, a rifle, and a shotgun with ammos.
Is it legal for me to keep them? He had to obtain a permit or something before he got the handgun, but he simply bought the rifle and shotgun from Dick's and brought them home.
There are friends...
