Out of curiosity wouldn't this ruling also force MD to modify its current self defense laws to accommodate being able to defend yourself outside the home? MD has a history of making criminals out of victims who fight back.
I listed my expunged charges on my MD carry permit only because i had previously applied prior to expungement and had been denied. Attached my expungement papers and got my carry permit a few months later.
So i just moved into a new place as of 6-1-15. I cant find ANYTHING on the MSP site about notifying them of a change of address. I have several professional licences as well as my "Wear and Carry" permit. Am i supposed to notify? If so, who do i notify?
Its all in the company you work for if theyll sponsor you. Most companies want the license up front so they dont have to invest 3-6 months in you waiting. Ive done security since 08. Ive had my carry licence since last year. My uncle Rick Stern is a handgun and self defense instructor in MD. He...
I had 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerement, and deadly weapon charges that i had expunged. I notified them when i applied and included all expungement documents in the application. Didnt cause any hiccups.
I got my permit with the same G&S "work purposes" i submitted it alongside my guard card renewal not that that should have made a difference, but definitely request the informal review.
I filed mine February 2014 i think i recieved it late may early June 2014. There was a long period of no contact then like a week or two before receiving my permit my references were contacted and i had my interview.
So if i currently have a restricted permit and g&s is broadened to include "Self Defense" would my permit become unrestricted? Would i apply for a new permit? Or would i just appeal the restrictions?
Was not aware having a carry permit could get me a HQL so painlessly lol i knew owning a Reg firearm pre 10/13 i was training exempt but ive been dragging my feet lol
Comes down to the investigator, my first one was done at the Waterloo Baracks (Elkridge) in this dark closet of an office, he asked me a series of questions then sent me on my way. My second one was kind of comical, I hear nothing of my application for almost 6 months, then I wake up to a text...
I have been arrested and charged and answered yes to both on my application. I included in my packet my expungement paperwork and now have my carry permit.
