Ideas for next handgun - action shooting (likely at AGC) + first carry:

Why is it a meaningless metric and how can it point you to the wrong gun? What do you use to pick out a gun? I think it is a stretch to say that the way a gun feels has no bearing on how well you shoot it. Have you tried practicing with a gun that "feels good"? Maybe you'd be faster...maybe...

Ideas for next handgun - action shooting (likely at AGC) + first carry:

For the most part I agree that how a gun feels shouldn't be the only thing being considered...but that doesn't mean you should pick something that feels bad. You could train to shoot just about anything but a gun that points naturally can't be a bad thing, can it? Maybe the "feel" or...

Ideas for next handgun - action shooting (likely at AGC) + first carry:

Try out as many as you can. I'm a fan of CZ personally, I like a hammer-fired steel gun. In my mind, Glocks take a lot of time and money to get them somewhat close to a CZ is out of the box - that's mostly a trigger issue I think, and the barrel won't shoot lead or cast bullets (not a big deal...

      940 JM Pro vs ???

Looked at everything I could find, Benelli is certainly the most popular for good reason, it's awesome. However, I shot a Beretta1301 comp pro and fell in love with it so I bought one. Softer recoil, less finicky about ammo. I also like gas guns over inertia. I looked at the cheaper guns...

      Anyone else Suspicious?

I'm not worried about cops at all, they make up a large percentage of the members of my club - I shoot with them weekly. In general I find them to be great guys.

Hold off or buy during these times?

I'm holding off on purchases...except for items I perceive that will be banned soon, and then only if they are within reason. I want a shockwave badly but I'm not paying double for it. Phil

      PCC for Action Shooting

Did a LOT of research - I don't like to tinker or try different combinations, change out this, modify that. I Just want to shoot. JP GMR-15 was, without a doubt, the best choice. Goes BANG every time. Doesn't care about ammo, eats everything. Oil it, shoot it. Best gun purchase I've ever...

Gun Ranges - Best to Worst

My experiences: Continental - Indoor - good place to try out guns before you buy, Friendly folks in the range. Good range. Store is expensive. Hap Baker Outdoor - pretty good, RSOs can be a bit much Freestate - Indoor - my least favorite. The allow .223 and .308 at various times -...

      PCC recommendation

"The JP and the MBX are both good choices, but don't really compare to a properly outfitted delayed blowback gun." When researching, I thought that also - the delayed and radial blowback designs guns seem better a better design but after seeing and reading about them having reliability...

      PCC recommendation

I went with the JP GMR-15. I am not to want to tweak things, don't want to experiment, just want it to go bang every time. I'm about 4500 rounds through the GMR with no malfunctions. I have the Silent short stroke captured spring, 14.5 welded comp SS barrel, flat trigger, etc. Unbelievably...
