CZ 75D Compacts going for less than $500 new

Not necessarily. Many gunshops block the standard mags instead of ordering the 10 round version. Next time I'm staying overnight in another state, I just need to bring a hair dryer to loosen the glue and legally convert them back.

CZ 75D Compacts going for less than $500 new

I was about to buy a Beretta PX4 in .45 as my bedside gun (I want a non-1911 .45ACP, and right now all my .45s are 1911s, honestly the "bedside gun" is just an excuse). However, I had just started thinking about buying a 2nd PCR before long so I could have one always ready for carry and one...

      I need a gun!

So, the thread is about a month old, and from what I can see from your other posts, you bought a P365 (I like my P365 so much that I bought a second, now I can always have one in my range bag and still have one in my holster). That said, I would have suggested starting with a compact service...

Your three (concealed carry) gun set-up

Things have changed a bit since I answered in April. I don't shoot it all that well so I don't carry the Glock anymore. IWB: SiG P365 Taurus 856UL (when I pick it up on Sat, a 3" 856 Defender will take its place most of the time) Pocket: S&W 442

      Consignment Guns

Haha, I recently put 8 guns on consignment, none have sold yet, and I see at least 7 I'm thinking about possibly buying.... so much for thinning the herd :innocent0

      1911

No pictures at the moment, but my favorite right now has to be my 1st gen S&W SW1911SC because it has been 100% reliable. My Dan Wesson Heritage isn't broken in yet (I bought it used, but it was barely fired), and it isn't fully reliable yet (one FTF per box or so). Once it is more reliable it...

      Henry Rolling out a Revolver

I can sort of see where they are coming from. They probably figured the SAA clone/Cowboy Action revolver market was pretty saturated, but in keeping with their image they didn't want something fully modern either. Looks to me like they were going for something that aesthetically might fit into...

      Longer T-Shirts for CCW

Even though they cost a bit more money, as someone whose weight tends to fluctuate, I'm a big fan of Tall t-shirts, polos and sport shirts. If I go the next size up, it gives too much room in the chest and shoulders and it looks too baggy. If I go with the size that fits my chest and go tall...

      Baltimore County PD Gun Buyback

I didn't make it, I was hoping to get rid of my Taurus PT140 that doesn't work (it dry fires so they might have given the $150 for a working gun, though I'd be honest if they asked), a SIG P226 mag I've had for about 10 to 15 years since I sold the gun (I don't think I'm replacing it any time...

Sig P365 - Which Model Are You Carrying?

What I did was take some fine grit sandpaper and lightly sanded the side of the grip that is up against my skin (I'm right handed so the left side of the grip). Don't go too aggressive, you want to have enough grip for sweaty hands, but you do want to take the edge off. Now it is very...

Your three (concealed carry) gun set-up

I have more than 3 that I use, but if I was to narrow to 3: SIG P365 (it gets about 75-80% of my carry time) A lightweight snub for pocket carry or when you need the most concealable IWB. For a while that was my Taurus 856UL, but the slightly smaller 442 is starting to see more use. If I could...

      MagGuts Legality

Many MD gun shops buy their stock with standard mags and then block them and glue them. You can usually change them back with some heat (hair dryers work) and some elbow grease. They will tell you emphatically (if you ask) that if you do this, you have to do it out of state as it constitutes...

      Small revolvers as Backup/Carry Guns?

Taurus 85CH Taurus 856UL 3" Colt King Cobra (mew model) S&W 442 All of the above get some carry, sometimes as a pair of them, sometimes as a pocket gun or BUG. 2" and 3" Rossi 461, never carried and I haven't shot them in years. I had some issues with the 2" and just don't trust them...

      Varying CCW pistols

I don't carry a dirty gun. I don't clean my guns after every range trip, but I do clean my range guns about once every 2-4 trips. Hence, the guns that went to the range, don't get carried for a while. Changing the order of a couple of those sentences and adding how often I clean my range guns...

      Varying CCW pistols

I had planned on a full rotation. I have a lot of CCW type guns that I like and instead of choosing one or two, I thought I'd have several for different situations and also sometimes change up within a category. When carrying out of state on a non-resident permit, that works. Frequent carry...

The Times, They Are A Changin’ (Gun-wise)

As an old (well, 52yo) revolver lover, all I have to say to your 5 semiauto pistols is... well, it's a start :D

What would you want to get if and when Assault Weapon Ban dies?

Sell my Bushmaster AR (HBAR) which I can't sell in MD despite being an HBAR because it is specifically named as banned. Selling out of state seems more trouble than it is worth so I've held onto it. Buy an M1A. I've always wanted one, couldn't afford one, then they banned them in MD and only...

Was something passed banning ammo sales to Annapolis??

True, but it doesn't help you with retailers who don't realize MD has state preemption and shipping ammo to Annapolis is actually legal. Palmetto State Armory isn't the only one that won't ship there, and I do often buy ammo through them. If I decide I want to live in Annapolis, finding a...

Was something passed banning ammo sales to Annapolis??

I saw that yesterday. In the next few years I am thinking about buying in Columbia (I grew up here and love the area), Crofton (would be very convenient to work, depending on where I'd be in biking or even walking distance), or Annapolis (I love Annapolis and miss living there). Seeing that on...

PUBLIC 100 yard rifle ranges from DC area east to Annapolis...want to shoot today.

Not quite the direction you are going, but not too terribly far (just the opposite direction), there is a 100 yard indoor range available at Guntry in Owings Mills. A bit further out, Hap Bakers at the Carroll County dump has public rifle and pistol ranges, though they aren't open every day so...
