      Thank you everyone for your replies so far. Cuz I got it via my C&R and I don't want to be perceived as trying to be a "dealer" or doing anything other then "collecting" I trust him :) He works a good paying job, his income is just tied up in other places.

      What is the legality of lending a gun and some ammo to a friend for HD in the state of MD? Is that legal even unregulated, let alone regulated? If he shot an attacker with it, would either of us be in trouble for the gun being on loan? Beyond that, could he take it to the range? Friend...

      I heard lots of waiting (as in, months) was involved. I think they streamlined their system though; I filled out the online form and got my C&R application THE NEXT DAY. I filled that out and returned it and got my C&R only two weeks later. I'm pretty happy about that. Anyone else...
