Maybe not the best option, but personally I use the GPS Tactical Backpack. Not sure I can recommend it in this case as it only holds three pistols (with mags) and it sounds like you may want to transport more. But in addition it holds everything else I bring (eyes, ears, gloves, tools, oil...
I feel bad for @BFMIN getting all this dumped on them when trying to get an answer to (what should be) a simple question, but I always get a kick of how clearly absurd the rules in MD sound when laid out one after another in a thread like this. It took almost two pages just to get a high level...
Ah okay, thank you. I had misunderstood, I thought this was referring to something installed below a faucet or possibly on a whole house system. We have used Brita in the past for drinking water at home but haven't tried Zero Water before. For backpacking I have been using the Sawyer Mini or...
Maybe a stupid question here, is this mainly to remove the taste from town water treatments or are folks installing these for well water as well? We're on a well (with a water softener) that has always tasted fine to me, although I suppose the proper filter would also protect us from...
Might be worth taking a look at PSA deals as well, they run deals on complete uppers and lowers that are fairly well regarded for lower budget rifles. Not sure how often the sell complete HBAR uppers but they pretty regularly have complete lowers...
With this info and knowing you already own a .22 and shotgun I think I would change my answer to something like a 7.62x39 AK or something fun like a lever gun in .357 just for kicks. :party29:
.308 bolt gun is also fun, even at 100 yards.
Strictly a range gun? Yeah I'd go .223/5.56 mostly because of cost. Cheap enough to get plenty of shooting in but still a big enough bang to be fun and reach out a ways. Although even if you started bring in other applications like home defense/SHTF I'd say it's still relevant.
But this is a...
This is on the to do list as well. Just trying to decide if I'm comfortable enough doing it myself or if I want to cough up the cash for a pro to do it. I've done minor electrical fixes (replacing outlets, swapping light fixtures, installing ceiling fans, etc) but nothing of that scale. I am...
I have given to all of them (with the exception of the NRA) at some point or another. But MSI and FPC are the two I maintain a membership with and give to yearly at a minimum. I'd say MSI is a must for any 2A supporting MD resident, FPC initiate/support a number of lawsuits federally and across...
Finally took the plunge and bought a generator after this latest storm. Just need to put together some kind of rain shelter for it. Let's see how long we go without losing power now. :D
Also grabbed a pair of Vortex Diamondback Binos a while back just to have around. Our home doesn't have a lot...
I have the Agilite K5, but I wouldn't call it low profile if that's what you're looking for. It is pretty solid and has just enough padding in the shoulders to be comfortable even with heavy plates. Not American made, but I think I read somewhere the company does work with US military when...
Agreed. It's disappointing to hear a lot of people respond to people fighting in a non-free state with things like, "Easy, just move to <FREE STATE>; Maryland is a lost cause." What exactly do they think will happen once Maryland has been gutted of its freedom? It just empowers anti-2A groups to...
Any updates on this? I checked the last meeting notes from the Review Board (Sep 2019) but didn't see any mention of anything from PSA on there. The meeting notes from December don't seem to be posted. I know there are already several 7.62x39 AK pistols on the roster, so I would imagine the AK-P...
I can't speak on the Colt, but I have the SA Mil-Spec and it's been great. Built solid and shoots well, haven't had any trouble with it. It's a no frills 1911, but I like the look of the GI style and combat sights.
