      Double Load(checked that box)?

Glad you were not more seriously injured. Think I will stick with my single stage press.

      Large Rifle Primers

Been using the Federals in my SKS and haven't had any detonate on the bolt drop. That said, I have only ejected live rounds a couple of times which were later re-chambered. Since I never charge the SKS until the muzzle is pointed down range, it should not present an issue.

What did you do at your reloading bench today?

They are 0.312", 125 grain plated. One review said they were good up to 2000 FPS and had thicker plating compared to the 123s. Using 2.150" OAL on my loads which has worked well for feeding cast bullets in the SKS. Planned ladder test should run between 1750 and 1900 FPS which is much faster...

What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Doing some rounds for a ladder test on some new X-treme semi spitzer plated pills for my SKS. Cleaning and prepping some once fired 7.62x25 brass.

      Lee Turret Press Priming Issue-

I recently replaced my old Lee primer dispensers with a new set and have been very pleased with their performance. A slight re-design but they now feed perfectly and I no longer need to add a few extra primers to complete a batch of 100.

Anne Arundel First Alert - Accidental Shooting at 2600 Block of Annapolis Road (Cindy's?)

Not my place to judge anyone especially with the way things are in the world, today. Could have been a bad guy, or could have been a victim of a false accusations. Whether his motivation was guilt, depression, or terminal illness, he will be remembered first as having done the dirty deed...

      223 downsides

As long as the barrel is marked 5.56 NATO, .223 Rem., or .223 Wylde,... any factory .223 Remington ammo will work well. 5.56 should not be used in a barrel marked .223 Remington as the pressures are vastly different and may cause a kaboom.

How to find turkeys on public land?

Used to scout the area at dusk the day before hunting and use a crow call. Turkeys almost always respond if they can hear it, and if they do you can get an idea of where they are roosting. Get into the woods well before daylight and your odds are pretty good of at least seeing some turkeys.

      Elk Neck Range Closure

I bet the governor is working hard to get it opened ASAP. :sarcasm:

      Winchester Ammo Rebate Fraud Attempt?

Finally received mine just after Christmas. Think that was about 10 weeks.

Added an M44 to the collection

I use a Caldwell recoil pad when shooting my M-44 and it makes a huge difference. I can shoot 50 rounds from a bench, and not have a sore shoulder afterwards.

      Chinese SKS Value

SKS variations can make values hard to determine without more details. Check here to research the rifle: http://chinesesks.weebly.com/

      5.56 Ballistics of 55gr vs 62gr. vs 77gr.

My 1:7 twist barrels produce excellent groups with 55, 62, or 69 grain projectiles. My handloads are more accurate than factory produced fodder. Projectile length, not weight is the real determining factor in selecting the best twist rate. I zero @ 25 yards using my 69 grain loads. This puts me...

Baltimore's Department of Public Works prints 2024 calendar riddled with glaring errors

The city is staffed by the incompetent at all levels, not just the leadership. Most are products of the school system that has been failing badly since the 70's so employment standards have had to be lowered repeatedly, resulting in an abundance of waste, fraud, and abuse in all agencies.

      Bear Creek Arsenal 7.62 x 39 Complete Upper ?

My BCA 5.56 upper came with a chamber not even cut enough to fire .223 and was popping primers at the first outing. Absolutely zero free-bore which created a dangerous firearm and splattered my face with debris on firing. It was cheap enough that I bought another barrel and replaced it...

What did you do at your reloading bench today?

Over the last couple of weeks I completed prepping a pile of brass and loaded enough 9mm, .223, and 7.62x39 to fill all of my plastic ammo boxes. Finally caught up on the loading. :) Planning a visit to my dad's today where a fresh pile of brass waits to be picked up, some of it primed. Looks...

      AR LPK - 9mm vs .223

I am using a standard, mil-spec LPK in my 10.5" blowback AR-9 pistol build. The BCG is a hybrid and works with Colt or Glock style mags. Using an 8.5 ounce extended length buffer, .308 spring, Stern Defense magwell adapter, and Glock mags in mine.

      Tuning the Mosin M44

I use a soft lead, bullet shaped fishing weight for slugging barrels. Oiling the barrel first makes it very easy to drive though using a rod or wooden dowel.

      Winchester Ammo Rebate Fraud Attempt?

It took mine about a month before the status could be retrieved.
