      Shipping Ammo to DC

MidwayUSA will also ship ammo to DC. It’ll ask for your registration card on checkout.

I really want an AR but I live in DC :(

Don’t get the pistol lower, though. They won’t let you register that, since it would be a pistol that has the “capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip” not to mention the threaded barrel you’d probably put on it.

I really want an AR but I live in DC :(

I don’t think either term is defined in that chapter. IANAL, so I’d be speculating on what the terms mean in this case.

I really want an AR but I live in DC :(

https://code.dccouncil.us/dc/council/code/sections/7-2504.01.html “No person or organization shall manufacture any firearm, destructive device or parts thereof, or ammunition, within the District” I’d recommend keeping your especially fun stuff across the border. Edit: this law goes on to say...

      1911 Mags & Pricing

I have thousands of rounds through the Chip McCormick Power Mag Plus model and they’ve been great. They recently developed an even further improved model called the RPM that has reinforced feed lips. I also have one Wilson mag, but I prefer the CMC mags for the simple reason that they have...

Wrenn PI Granted (DC Shall Issue)

Wow, that’s brutal. I’m interested to see the numbers on how many permits they wind up issuing after these first few months. I just remembered Lanier’s quote from immediately after Scullin issued the stay in 2015, when few had applied: “Our residents have been pretty clear this is not...

      1980's BW 15' Super Sport

I like the 15’s with the side console if it’s just me and one other person. They’re fun for a little zipping around, but you can’t stand up and move around at all. Add a cooler and some stuff, and space gets tight. A center console 17’ offers a lot more in the way of room, I think.

Citigroup imposes Restrictions on Gun Stores

They’re absolutely making money on every transaction that you make. Probably 1-2%. I’ll feel much better giving that money to another bank. Frankly, this was a great opportunity to find a better cash back card!

Citigroup imposes Restrictions on Gun Stores

Fine with me. I can always use another new card signup bonus from another company.

RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Combo on sale+rebate

I’m thinking about taking advantage of the rebate to get the Chargemaster, but I’d be interested to hear if any of you might recommend buying something else before I get to that. I’m basically using the Rock Chucker kit now. I reload 223 and 308, and I feel like I spend a ton of time...

      Wait time for DC CCW

I received my preliminary approval in mid-January, roughly 90 days after submitting my application. However, I was basically re-activating an old application from 2015 that I submitted during that window of no "good reason" requirement. Maybe they moved me toward the front of the queue...

      Greetings from DC

Happy to have stumbled across the forum a few weeks ago and have since been lurking, mostly in the DC section. It's been exciting to see others pursing the DC permit, both here and in the class. I look forward to getting to know some of you all!
