Do I need a fletching jig to replace vanes?
I just ripped a vane off one of my arrows by hitting it with a second arrow (So go me for good groupings)
I do not have a fletching jig
Do I need one to replace the vanes? Or does it just make it easier?
I have never done this before at all...
Alright MDS, why do I need a suppressor for a 5.56 home defense rifle?
Convince me.
I have read every online article about the subject. Most boil down to "Because they are amazeballs and you can stick it to the ATF by paying them to approve you to have one!"
I value the real world...
Talking about the placement of a non magnified red dot on a rifle....
Does the placement on the rails matter at all? (Far forward towards the muzzle, far back closer to the shooter's eye)
I see some people have them way of front. Others have them all the way back. Is it just a preference?
So I am new to archery. (Got a bow off the classified here last month and fell right in love with it. Made a nice safe back yard target. Having a blast! Loving how you can buy 1 arrow and shoot it many times as opposed to single use bullets)
My 9 year old wants to try it. She got into it at...
Not that I'm unhappy....just confused
Can someone explain why my eBay auction for a used stock and forend off an old Remington 870 is now over $100?
What am I missing?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193696821463
I figured $30 and I'd be happy. Hell I had it listed in the classified here...
Dude makes an accurate handgun shot over 1 mile

I'll take "Stuff I can't do" for $1,000, Alex!
Does oil dry up differently on different guns?
I have 2 firearms in the same safe
One is 20 years old and very worn in. I can oil that one and put it in the safe and it will still be range ready lubricated a year from now. All steel 1911
One is less than 1 year old and I can oil it and a...
I just got a Vortex Spitfire non magnified prism sight
I haven't even used it yet and I already love it!
I tried a Vortex red dot a few months back and learned I have a horrible astigmatism. (Who knew?) I couldn't see anything but a huge red blinding blur in that sight.
But the prism site...
I found this old Crossman pellet rifle in my old stuff
It used to work great but has been neglected for 25 years. I still remember taking the stock off and doing a full refinishing of it when I was like 10 (Stock looks brand new!)
I am guessing there is a seal broken because when I pump it I...
Maryland may finally be too much for me.
I am thinking about moving North of the Mason Dixon line. Preliminary thinking for now. I am just doing my homework.
Is there any hassle to move guns into PA?
I am talking registered handguns and a few unregulated long guns (per MD law). Nothing...
A gun auction site has an app on iPhone and Android
Suddenly both platforms block bidding on the apps, making them useless
Obviously this was done because Google and Apple hate guns. But it's funny they both did it at the same time
If you could prove coordination between Google and...
Is the spring on a 1911 a wear part that should be replaced every so often? Or only if it shows specific signs of damage?
Mine looks okay. But it is 21 years old.
Are they like washing machine hoses that should be replaced every few years before they fail spectacularly?
Anyone know of a place in Central PA that has the older style metal AR mags? And at reasonable prices?
I like Magpuls but it's nice to have a variety.
I don't feel like calling all the stores and asking. I figured someone would just know.
(Bass Pro in Harrisburg does not have them. I...
I need new ear protection
The ones I have work well to protect me ears but they are massive. I believe they would keep me safe in a motorcycle crash. They are hard to check a cheek weld with on a rifle
I want a lower profile set of hearing muffs but there is so much junk out there it's...
This video shows how kids are 27 times more likely to die on the school bus than in a school shooting...and why that means we need to stop fear mongering our
children. He also shows how gun haters traumatize our children to trick us into giving up guns
This guy takes a minute to get going...
I have a Winchester model 70, 30-06
I have had it for 20 some odd years. I don't get to fire it much but it shoots well when I do. It's in good shape. No rust or other blemishes.
Today I started wondering what it's worth and found a HUGE range in price tags on the model 70
What makes...
Just a suggestion for a forum specifically about ammo and the variations on it
Would fit right in with the group of forums on different types of guns (rifles, handguns, etc)
(If there already is one and I'm too blind to see it, please commence the hazing. I understand.)
So yeah...plastic shell casings.
https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2020/01/29/shot-2020-true-velocity-and-sierra-bullets/
When I saw the article my first reaction was "WTF?"
But after reading it...it's interesting if nothing else
They say the plastic casing reduces heat transfer to...
I have never bought anything from this company. I am not endorsing them as I have no idea if their products are any good
But their attitude damn sure it awesome!
