      DC CCW Renewal Class?

Contact Chief Ayala at https://www.archangeldc.com/ Explain to him you need a renewal and he will let you sit in on the required portion of his regular class and let you do the range qualification with the rest of the class. He will give you the price.

      Wait time for DC CCW

Going on 6 months. Applied in early March, received preliminary approval mid-July and given 45 days to complete training or my application would be "denied for failure to meet the standards of suitability required". I had to call and speak to supervisor this week to request another 45-day...

      MPD now FFL

“so that we wouldn’t run into any constitutional issues or open ourselves up to meddling in our gun laws from outside groups,” Bowser said. Hopefully a circuit court will rule that a taxpayer-funded city agency charging $125 for a service that private citizens charge $25-50 for is at best...

      MPD now FFL

Mayor just announced during a press conference that with the absence of a civilian FFL, effective today two MPD officers will be taking over duties as FFL. MPD site has already been updated: https://mpdc.dc.gov/node/763182

      CS Exchange shutting down

Sketchy indeed It's good to know they already have a plan in place, but... "by charging $125 or its actual costs" It would be unfair for DC residents to be charged the same price that a private citizen charged for an exclusive service now provided by an entire government agency. Hopefully...

      CS Exchange shutting down

Hate to be the bearer of bad news. Picked up a firearm earlier today and Mr. Sykes informed me he is no longer accepting transfers or processing applications. We chatted for a bit and in a nutshell, at his age he can no longer keep up with the workload all by himself. Once he gets caught up on...

Maybe a Ruger PC9 carbine? Contact Atlantic or United, I'm pretty sure they can order a DC compliant(10+1) for you.

      DC registration wait time

As long as it doesn't have a threaded barrel. Email LT Hall with the spec sheet and he'll let you know if you can register.

Excellent news, the response from United Gun Shop: "We will hold on to it for as long as you need." :patriot:

      DC registration wait time

Glad I saw your post  - I was about to make a purchase online. Anyone know how long area FFLs are willing to hold long guns for DC residents?

      DC registration wait time

Thanks. I meant AG not DA. He's not exactly a fan of 2A.

      DC registration wait time

Thanks for the update, I'll need to modify planning for my next purchase.

      DC registration wait time

DC law requires a mandatory 10 day wait time between firearm purchase and release to the owner. It's called a "cooling off period" to prevent anyone from purchasing a firearm to immediately do harm to themselves or someone else - anger, revenge, crimes of passion etc.
