Im gonna miss BW 2023. Cant ride anymore. Had a lot of good times on two wheels. Attended OC/Delmarva Bike week many times. All were good. Loved to ride and mix it up with other people that know the peace 2 wheels and wind can bring.
Cast some bullets today! .32 cal and 44 cal round balls that is. LEE 10 lbs smelter. Only kept 30 of each type. But it went well, I did some quick checks with my caliper and they are consistently sized and very uniform surface, all in all look pretty good. Buddy of mine recommended putting them...
As far as silver/gold flips
After posting, I found a few online dealers that referred to "Monster Boxes". I doubt, I purchase the box full. I dont have the type FU money you described either. I know its not push button elec. fast flip, but also never had a problem, walking into a rep. dealer or...

Kibler continues to improve and enhance his Kits. I bought the Southern Mountain rifle kit. It is a little less ornamental than the other kit he offers,(Colonial American Long Rifle Kit) that kit is only for larger calibers.

Early models of both kits...
I'm jumping a little ahead but the lock is so well made! i spent a good amount of time making it fit the way I wanted it to. The time was more about my inexperience and hesitation than how the kit was prep'd. But once together it and the triggers are very smooth.
Kibler even provides this drill guide. The holes in the stock are there. they are under sized. He makes the barrels I believe,. the barrel has the underlugs as part of the barrel. See photo, the drill guide slide into the pre drilled holes in the stock. First drill bit fits in, drills through...
working with wood at this level is new to me. I think I fitted the barrel 5 times before calling it good! I bought a few carving tools and did a little pre-work on another old single barrel I have. GOOD news Kibler's setup only required me to fine tune unseen areas, not make the exterior
look...
The Barrel with Tang already installed, laid into the wood almost without effort from me, Almost, I worked on the area shown in the photo. But the rear of the tang was so tight. It looked like it grew there!
