My brother (FFL07) has been going to MD gun shows & the range with his fiber laser and doing serialization right on the spot. Not sure of dates or places, but if anyone is interested I can ask.
I haven't reload anything in almost a decade. Back then I could do a box (50 rounds) of .45acp for $5 (that was using copper plated xtreme bullets and CCI primers).
How does that compare to now?
Please take whatever I say as a grain of sand (I'm not the one that have spoken with MD Police or the ATF ) most likely I'm full of it. I recall my brother telling me a while ago, that an ATF agent indicated if a customer brings him an un-serialized firearm to work on, that he must add a serial...
My Brother is a FFL-07 in MD (he does laser engraving and cerakote). He has been chatting with MD state Policy and the ATFA trying to find a legal way to serialized Ghost guns. If I find out anything more, I will report back.
Just as a follow up, I end up taking only AR15 magazines. It turns out that laser engraving glock / polymer was way harder than what I thought. Most people keep their setting ultra secrete and the settings that people shared with me did not work great either. We did hundred of tests.
I'm arriving on Dulles Airport.
I don't need to bring the whole rifle, I could just bring the lower to tryout the laser engraving only.
Not planning to bring ammo
Any issues with 30 mags? I could potentially take them apart and just bring the outer shell

Then I realized MD is not quite like FL. To be honest, I haven't look too much into this, and I was hoping to have someone give me a quick...
