      New Colt Python

Was wondering what everyone’s opinion is on the new Colt Python. Will it be a highly sought after collectible like the older ones are now? I had the chance to handle one the other day and the quality and feel is outstanding. Im considering buying one and putting it in the safe unfired...

280 AI load with Accurate 4350

Tough finding powders right now near me. Ran into a pound of Accurate 4350. Should be in the right burn rate for 140 class bullets. Not finding much info. Before I interpolate from other sources, was wondering if anyone has a load with the Accurate 4350 powder and 140 grain bullets they have...

      Carcano Calvary Carbine

Picked up one of the Carcano Calvary Carbines from Classic a couple of weeks ago looking for a project. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I did NOT do the best of 10 selection. Of course it was filthy, and dinged up, but it cleaned up nice with about a weeks worth of work...

      Winchester Brass

I’m working up a load for a new Christiansen Mesa in 308 Win. I’m using Win Brass, Ramshot TAC, and Hammer Hunters and Hornady SSTs. Varget and 748 are unobtanium. The Brass was once fired by me, then I trimmed all to book trim-to length for uniformity. With barrel break-in and two load...

      Anyone using N140 or N550 for 308 150gr Loads?

No experience with Vihtavuori powders. N140 and N550 powders seem to be available at various locations. I would like to build up some higher end hunting loads with 150s since I can't find Varget or 748. Any suggestions?

      Model 70 Männlicher Questions

Been looking for a Winchester Model 70 Mannlicher for a while. Im familiar with the history of this subset of Model 70s and what to look for, but was wondering if there are any Mannlicher experts out there in MDS land? Found one in 30/06 with a serial number dating it to 1971. Has the...

      Ruger Standard Pistol

Got a new to me, 1962 vintage Ruger Standard pistol a few weeks ago. Just brought it to the range and it was a very accurate gun. Function was good until I had two instances of it going full auto for remainder of the clip. After the first occupance I broke it down and inspected. All looked...

      Just picked this one up.

1962 Ruger Standard with original box and papers. Looks like a safe queen. Pistol near perfect with maybe a box of ammo ever put thru it. Not a scratch on the gun or magazine, but only a minor rub mark visable to my picky eyes. Box is in rough shape but in one piece.

      Two Huskies

Just getting around to posting these 2 Husqvarna 43’s I finished last fall. Both in 9.3x57. One from 1937 and the second from 1939. Both had great blueing, rough bores that cleaned up nicely, and average stocks. I sent the bolts out to a guy in Texas for forging and polishing. The receivers...

      Headspace Issue?

New 300 Blackout build with Aero Precision Upper/Lower, BCA Barrel, and Prime Weaponry BCG. When I check headspace with Clymer Guages it will not close on the GO or the NO-GO gauge. The bolt closes with resistance on a factory round but leaves marks (not dents) at the shoulder. I...

      300 Blackout

Anyone have a go-to 300 Blackout load I can use as a starting point? There are plenty on the web, but actually too many to narrow down. Looking for a cheap Supersonic Range/plinking load and a good Sub-sonic load using a heavy bullet. Thanks.

Slide Locks Back - Load Related?

Ok. So Ive never seen this before. Load Ive shot at least a 1000 thru this gun (Glock 34) with no problem. Its a Light Load I worked up for fun shooting... 9mm, 3.2 Bullseye over 147 grain plated xtream. Shoots soft, very accurate, and have never had a failure of any type with it. I...

      LnL Bullet Feeder Die

About 2 out of every 25 times my Hornady bullet feed die won’t feed the next bullet. Sometimes it will go long stretches with 100% reliability and then act up for a while. Usually a quick nudge either down or up into the die gets them feeding again. Everything looks good. The collets appear...

      Marlin 336

Any Marlin experts out there know what calibers the 336 was available in during the 1957 production year? Ive looked everywhere for a catalog online and can't find 1957. Kind of obscure, I know, but thanks.

      375 Winchester

Anyone have a pet load for the 375 Winchester. I just picked up a Win 94 (first year production, like new) and am looking for a good jacketed hunting load and a cast lead load to just mess around with once in a while. Now if I can just find some 375 Win Brass!

      Donuts

Just discovered that donuts have formed at the inside neck/shoulder juncture of my 9.3x57 cases. New Norma Brass and the donuts occurred on all the cases in the load workup. No signed of pressure and all rounds loaded and extracted easily. I full-length resized the new brass before loading...
