      My Simson Suhl Makarov

It is from a post-reunification run in the 1990s. They were made at same physical factory as the E German era ones.

      My Simson Suhl Makarov

I have seen some low low SNs go for a lot more on GB. $1710 is cheap. I got a good price bc it was listed with awful blurry pics at BIN of $1500 but represented as NIB and a check of seller’s feedback and real website led me to believe it would be what they said so I took the risk. And it was...

It is not C&R — and made after 1985. E German Makarovs are all C&R (production stopped in 1965). This is post-German reunification.

      DE Magazine Ban

Haven’t tracked, but especially post-Bruen none of that will withstand scrutiny if challenged. May be new to gun carry laws, but have been licensed to practice for over 25 years (and was originally licensed in DE as it happens).

      1941 Tula Tokarev TT-33

I just saw some posts on FB about this, with screencaps from GB of an item then of him selling it retouched or repaired as other than what it was. Can’t recall exactly. That said, before that, I bought a non-import marked 1977 Makarov from him and it came as promised as was righteous on arrival.

No, time flies. Just looked. The one I pondered was in July! ‍♂️

And they can’t And for the same reason, any law or permitting regime that allowed residents to have one permit and non-residents another, with the latter limited to lower capacity magazines than residents would not fly.

      DE Magazine Ban

The privileges and immunities clause of the Constitution absolutely and unquestionably requires DE issue CCW permits to non-residents, like it or not.

      Broomhandle Mauser

And of milsurp Lugers, only Navy and Artillery Lugers are exempt. Shorter barreled (standard) military Lugers are not, pretty sure. Some commercial Lugers are exempt and/or I think certain period-made stocks can be used on them (Ideal; Benke-Thiemann).

      Broomhandle Mauser

I think original C96s are all exempt. BUT only specific Hi Powers are exempt. I.e., Not all slotted Hi Powers are C&R exempt from SBR rules. And for many variants that are exempt (Chinese Contract Canadian Inglis, Belgian made Muscat of Oman), ATF has refused to allow reproduction stocks. Be...

      1941 Tula Tokarev TT-33

Ammo is readily available. Ammoseek dot com will pop it up. It’s in production, still. S&B makes it, I know for sure.

      1941 Tula Tokarev TT-33

Nice find! I almost shelled out for the recent minty Pre-98 one. But hesitated and missed out, too. Mine came with one magazine matched to the pistol. I managed to find a very nice set of extra period correct Tula factory mags (matched to each other), but they cost me more than I’d care to...

      My Simson Suhl Makarov

Got this early this year, then had to wrestle the HRB into adding it to the Roster without making me send it to their lab to test fire as it’s a pretty rare collectable. But they allowed it. Only took like 4 months.

Here’s a video of me shooting it a month or two ago.

Finally Picked Up a Polish PM63-C

Thank you for that! Mine was minutes from being shipped to the Board when yours hit the list. I have shot mine. It is shockingly good — accurate and not unwieldy as a pistol. Am a collector, too, and may get another to put away unfired. But this one I will shoot now & then. Had Donald Evans...
