      Okay, what is it?

What you have there is a beautiful piece of American History. Taking a very cheap/and plentiful surplus rifle and converting it into a hunting rifle. Its balanced and shoulders better. And more then likely is as accurate if not better then any hunting rifle of its time(that the common man could...

To Glue or Not To Glue....

Looks good. And it will be covered by the band. You can paddle a little fiberglass resin in the cracks on the underside. If its good enough to hold a boat together it should be good enough for the hand guard.

      Refinishing?

Its your gun. You do what ever you want with it. If you try to sell it later. A collector will not pay market value, but someone else may pay more. In your life time market value may double what you paid for it. So what. I'm sure you did not buy these rifles as an investment to retire on. Shoot...

      Sporterized Springfield 0s

I have a 03 that was sported in the 50's and the stock looks the same as yours. I guess someone saw a market and started mass production.

      Cryin shame (Bubba strikes again)

I have a m91 stock and bands. Not looking for another project, or another firearm (need to get rid of more then a few). If someone wants to take on that project.

Not my best day at the AGC today...

Easy fix, when you are at the 100yrd target stand location look back at the benches. There are two pole in line that hold the roof up. Look at the poles and when they line up. You will be standing in the middle of two frame holders. If your bench/firing line location is on the right then your...

Your First gun---either as a kid or an adult?

Not counting my air guns. My first gun was a Mossberg 410 single shot bolt action at the age of 9. At age 11 came the 16ga Ithaca 37 featherlight. Then at 14 years old came the Winchester model 1200. All handed down through the family and I still have them and always will.

The bolt stop puts return spring on the trigger. What Model do you have. I just looked and I do have the pin and bolt stop. If you want it you can have it.

      MN 91/30 -- I'm missing some parts :(

With the pin all you do is take a drill bit that is just a little bit larger and drill it through the frame and trigger. Then cut the shaft of the drill bit, sized to fit, throw a little grease on it and you are good to go. Spring that holds it in? What Model do you have or is it a Finn or are...
