Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

Sweet. Glad you found something that will work. Those micros are cool guns for smaller shooters. She will enjoy it I’m sure.

      Accurate 10/22s

Kidd barrels are awesome. I have the bx trigger too. Def an upgrade but there are also better triggers out there. You pay for them though. I have $900 in my setup with the scope and am pretty competitive in most of the matches I’ve shot.

Clay Shooters are an "Interesting" Bunch

I didn’t read every reply so I may be overlapping some answers. Find a shotgun in your price range. If you can afford an O/U, probably better because it’s probably a little heavier (mitigate felt recoil). Browning makes a bt-99 micro which is a shortened LOP single barrel specifically designed...

      School me on 22-250

H380 was specifically named for the 22-250. 38.0 grains of the stuff and a 52 grain bullet gave a phenomenal group. So the hogdon guy appropriately named the powder H380. If you reload, that’s a good powder to look at. Like others have said, I’ve had good luck with Varget too.

Considering a 410 Shotgun for Turkey

I hope all these guys knocking the .410 for turkey don’t deer hunt with a bow…..

      Morel Hunting

My boy and I found 45 black mushrooms today in eastern Washington county. They are coming. Next week should be really good just about anywhere in MD.

      Rimfire Rifle Comps

Peacemaker does a long range rimfire PRS style series. Lots of fun if you like testing the limits of a .22. Some shots are close to 500 yards.

      6.5 Grendel

      Tbox barrels.

      Reloder 16

my two creedmoor (a gas gun and bolt gun) have been pretty interchangeable with H4350 and R16. A little better with 4350 in the bolt so I stuck with it. Didn’t care in the gas gun so I ran the R16 for the extra velocity. I like both.

      6mm/243 bullets...95 grain...for 6 Creedmoor

Berger makes one as well as Sierra. .460-.480 BC range I believe.

      Combination Single Shot Rifles/Shotguns

I have a 20/22 mag. Neat combo. Kind of a jack of all trades. Ok at most stuff. Not great at any single thing.

      6.8 SPC vs .300 Blackout

I have a 300 blk. I have 2 Grendel’s. Subsonic only, blackout all day long. Anything else, Grendel. It’s an awesome design/round.

      29% Bushnell Optic Rebate

I think you’d be hard pressed to find a sub $300 scope (with this 29% discount) with the features it has. Super snipers are nice, but they are right at $300 and don’t have the side focus or the variable magnification. The vortex diamondback tactical would be my closest choice. I have one and am...

      29% Bushnell Optic Rebate

I would’ve opted for the FFP, but I got it for a hunting rig and didn’t want to chance the crosshairs to be too small on the lower settings. Not going to be using holdovers at 60 yards either. Lol.

      29% Bushnell Optic Rebate

I just did the same thing. Midway has the 2.5-15 for $349 if anyone is looking

      Deer Steaks

A digital read thermometer transformed the venison game for me. I used to always over cook and it would turn out chewy. If you like rare, start out at 127 and figure out your liking. I would not recommend cooking venison (steaks, backstrap, etc) above 140. I usually run mine to 130ish. As most...

Educate Me on Sub MOA .22lr

I could be wrong here, but outside 100 yards, I think you are at the mercy of the ammunition. Most of it falls apart when it comes to accuracy after 100. I have a Ruger 10/22 that consistently shoots sub moa at 50 yards, sometimes at 100, and almost never at 200. And by consistently sub moa at...

      NRL 22

I shot the one this past weekend at PNTC. Great time. I’d suggest it to anyone looking at getting into competition or the PRS style matches.

      How did I do Rem 788 22-250?

If you are looking for a good powder and load, H380 is a good starting point (38.0 grains and a 52 grain bullet....neat story behind the powder name).
