I drank the kool aid and had a 6.5 built. The first six rounds out of the gun went on a sighter target. These are the next 15 rounds from the barrel. I can't thank Doc Ed enough for putting such a great shooting gun together. Sorry for the sideways pic, it always does that
Took the plunge and am getting an 8 twist Bartlein barrel screwed on to a Rem action I have. I plan on shooting 140s. My question is: has anyone used R17 and if so, is it temp sensitive? Seems like guys are getting better speeds with it, but there is a split as to whether it is temp sensitive...
I've searched the web and came across a few loads for subsonics that do not involve having to make a bolt cycle. I'm starting this thread just for that purpose. These are loads that do not particularly have to work in an AR platform. Let me know what you have, what works, and what is junk...
Does anyone have any info, price of this bayonet? Just picked it up at an auction. Seems like it is in great shape. It has a hooked quillion with a metal scabbord and the original leather attachment for the belt. I would post pics, but can't do it right now from my phone. Thanks in advance
When I started looking for a decent load for the a-max on the internet, it was more difficult to find a starting point than I thought it would be. Reloading books do not run the 208 yet and many on the internet are using the 300 wsm to hunt with (150-180 grn bullets). I started with H4831SC...
For those of you that like shooting these bullets, I received Midway's February calendar and saw those on sale for $220.99 per 200. Great deal and haven't found them cheaper in a long time. They are usually close to $35 a box.
Just found/bought one of these scopes from botachtactical.com. They have a nice sale price ($325.00). Everywhere else that I have found is from 479-499. A heads up for anyone looking for a decent scope for their AR.
Just started reloading for the 300 win mag. Never loaded for it before. Put some loads together with 190 SMK and R22. Started with 71.0 grn (3-shot .95 MOA), then 71.5 (1.45 MOA), and lastly 72.0 grn (.85 MOA). OAL is right around 3.510". From all of the readings that I have done, this area...
Just purchased a Remington Sendero in a 300 win mag. It comes with dies, about 50 pieces of once fired brass, leupold rings/bases, and some loaded bullets. It is an older model Sendero, but in great condition. The owner wasn't sure, but thinks he has shot between 250-300 rounds through it...
Some pictures of the new rifle and groups. The three shot group was done with Federal Gold Match 168s and the five shot was with Fiocchii Exacta 168s. Let me know what you think.
