      Selling off handguns...

I have no regrets choosing this pistol over other polymer weapons. I chose it for it unique looks, the rotating barrel was cool, and I like DA/SA. It's also pretty slim and compact for CCW. The only thing that bothered me was the 'winged-out' safety/decocker on the slide. It blistered my hands...

I wish you were selling a Glock 19.

Gunsmiths & Armorers; on the spot work

I really need to visit Gun Connection some day; wish it was a quick trip for me. It's good to know on-the-spot work is done there, though.

Gunsmiths & Armorers; on the spot work

A few months ago, I visited local gunsmiths to install slim decockers on my Beretta. I noticed every gunsmith I had visited only gave me the option to leave my gun there overnight, a few days, or until I'm contacted. It is a 5-minute job I could have done myself, but I just didn't have the...

M&P45 on sale at Bass Pro

Anyone notice the Bass Pro circular? It has a picture of an M&P with a price tag of $349.88...but zoom in and you'll see "SW9VE".

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

It's more of a "just in case" thing. I do plan on moving once the lease is up this year. Until then, I just wanted to explore the option. My reasons for feeling threatened is as I stated in the beginning... Random thugs crawl out of the woods, notice someone (me) is sitting there, and then they...

Breaking in/Care for a new pistol

If you want to get a head start, you could go to the Sig Sauer website and download a copy of the owner's manual. By the way, the manual does say "disassemble, clean, and lubricate" before firing the pistol.

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

Yeah, the article seems a bit hazy; maybe trying to spice it up with the use of "illegal...firearms" and "deadly weapon...without a permit". Maybe he bought the guns, illegally, or stole them. Who knows? I'm sure the police reported to the press the man is "under investigation for the suspicion...

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

I'd definitely run back inside if I notice them coming toward me. I'm afraid they'd actually plan to hideout next to my balcony out of sight and then jump me as I am about to walk back in the house. It's hard to explain, but the way the building is shaped (corners, shadows, trees), it's...

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

I prefer not to keep it in the open. I don't want anyone to know I even own guns around here. Sure, it may be "legal", but I do not want to advertise that I have firearms and/or provoke anyone (i.e. to burglarize my place while I'm out). And to be honest, I do care if the police are called...

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

I appreciate everyone's responses. They cleared a lot of things up. I hope to avoid any use of deadly force. I'm not looking for a gun fight. I'm not provoking anyone. And to be truthful, I don't want a piece in the American Rifleman (I was just kidding on that part). However, I do want to...

Can I "CCW" on my own/leased property?

I was wondering if it is legal to "CCW" on your own property. Specifically, within the back porch of an apartment. I lease an apartment on the first floor. Right across the parking lot is a park where the muggers pop out of and rob people in this apartment complex at gunpoint (been ongoing for...

Most under rated modern handgun (or yes, JeepDriver is really bored being off work)

A nice shooter, indeed. It's got low recoil and very slim/concealable. I wish it'd become more popular so there'd be more accessories available for it...like CTC grips. :)

Most under rated modern handgun (or yes, JeepDriver is really bored being off work)

Beretta Px4 Storm(?) Not quite sure how they are rated but I've never seen anyone with one at the range (except myself).

      im thinkin about a glock...

If this gun is primarily for plinking and fun...I'd say just go with 9mm. In the long run it'll save you lots of money for more plinking fun, accessories, targets, etc. If you truly believe 9mm "lack power", there are 9mm rounds out there designed for defense...you can keep a box of those lying...

Semi Auto Pistol recommendation...for a woman (not me)

Thank you for your thoughts. It looks like that’ll have to be it…she’ll never know until she actually holds various pistols in her hands and judges how it feels for herself. Being somewhat a gun newbie myself, I was concentrating more on the most proper way to grip a pistol by the web of the...

Semi Auto Pistol recommendation...for a woman (not me)

If anyone doesn't mind, would you let me know how your girlfriends' and/or wives' hands measure from the tip of the middle finger to the bottom of the palm? In fact, second request...what's considered a "small" sized hand for guys?

Semi Auto Pistol recommendation...for a woman (not me)

Thanks for all the suggestions so far... We considered a 1911 in 9mm, but I think she is looking more into something easier to maintain. She thought those 1911 field strip videos on YouTube were complicated compared to the newer pistols nowadays. I'm hoping to lean toward the XD or Glock...

Semi Auto Pistol recommendation...for a woman (not me)

Well, she's set on the 9mm caliber. There's not many 9mm revolvers out there so we both agreed on semi's.

Semi Auto Pistol recommendation...for a woman (not me)

A female friend of mine is looking for a semi-auto in 9mm. First let’s talk about hand size. My hands are small (I think). It measures 7.25” from the tip of my mid finger to the bottom of my palm; can barely pull a double action shot on my semi-autos using the traditional “web-of-hand”, proper...
