I have no regrets choosing this pistol over other polymer weapons. I chose it for it unique looks, the rotating barrel was cool, and I like DA/SA. It's also pretty slim and compact for CCW. The only thing that bothered me was the 'winged-out' safety/decocker on the slide. It blistered my hands... -

Breaking in/Care for a new pistol
If you want to get a head start, you could go to the Sig Sauer website and download a copy of the owner's manual. By the way, the manual does say "disassemble, clean, and lubricate" before firing the pistol. -

Yeah, the article seems a bit hazy; maybe trying to spice it up with the use of "illegal...firearms" and "deadly weapon...without a permit". Maybe he bought the guns, illegally, or stole them. I prefer not to keep it in the open. I don't want anyone to know I even own guns around here. Sure, it may be "legal", but I do not want to advertise that I have firearms and/or provoke anyone (i.e. to burglarize my place while I'm out). A nice shooter, indeed. It's got low recoil and very slim/concealable. I wish it'd become more popular so there'd be more accessories available for it...like CTC grips. :) -

If this gun is primarily for plinking and fun...I'd say just go with 9mm. In the long run it'll save you lots of money for more plinking fun, accessories, targets, etc. If you truly believe 9mm "lack power", there are 9mm rounds out there designed for defense...you can keep a box of those lying... -
