Sikorsky is owned by Lockheed Martin, so RTX's changes shouldn't affect Sikorsky.
You are correct about the consolidation at RTX, though I haven't heard anything about thousands of layoffs. Maybe corporate-type positions that become redundant, but they are hiring engineers like crazy.
Possumman, I think you're probably right about not just going for it, I more-or-less expected to have to find someone to ask. DNR doesn't list or control access to all land that might be available for hunting, so I don't want to limit myself to that - the hunting and trapping guidebook even...
Thanks, everyone, for posting the links to the published public hunting lands. I am familiar with those and I may have to fall back to them but, as Archeryrob pointed out, many of them are overwhelmed during certain seasons. I may also get into bow hunting at some point, but I don't really...
Thanks, I think the relevant part of the guidebook to the question that I am asking is:
So it sounds like I would need to try to track someone down at the various levels of government to ask for permission to hunt property owned by that level of government.
Just trying to see if people are allowed to hunt land owned by various levels of government. For instance, there is a 1-1/4 acre parcel of land in Hereford that is owned by Baltimore County, here: 39.59090, -76.66173. Obviously that's too small and in the middle of too much population to hunt...
Thanks for posting that. I haven't ruled out those areas, but I'm hopping to get a ruling on the less publicized parcels of government owned property that I have found.
I wasn't sure that DNR would be able to give me an answer on the non-state lands, but maybe I should take Harry's suggestion...
I just moved to Baltimore County after spending a few years in Northern VA, and I'm looking to get back into hunting this fall. I don't have access to any private land at the moment, so I have been pouring over property records looking for government owned lands that I might be able to hunt on...
I nearly suggested that, but I have not had good luck with finding semi-obscure books that I am looking for at the library. Definitely worth a check though!
Wow, no joke. It looks like Amazon only has used copies available - maybe it's not being printed anymore or something. I paid less than half of that for my copy a year or two ago.
Your point is a microcosm of the book. Attempting to maximize your privacy will require you to give up convenience - how much is up to you. If you want to read the book, you could have it delivered to your house and buy it with a credit card from Amazon but, as you pointed out, that seems...
It won't be much help with the specific requiremtns that you have, but for reference, there's a whole chapter about buying a phone anonymously in a book called Extreme Privacy: What It Takes to Disappear in America.
The book is a pretty interesting read, and what it boils down to is that you...
I'm a little late to this party - but this video shows the technique of brain-spiking, bleeding, and icing that some people have been describing.

I watched Ramsay's first masterclass. He is a good entertainer, and I enjoyed watching it, but I don't feel like he taught very much.
I'm currently halfway through Thomas Keller's first masterclass. Keller is not as polished of a entertainer as Ramsay, but I feel like he is a much better...
From what I can tell the American TV shows play it up and add all that fake dramatic music because, apparently, we all like that sort of thing. Try watching some of his older British TV shows on youtube - he'll definitely let you have it, but he doesn't come off nearly as berating or dramatic...
Ostensibly it was laden with shot, so make sure to factor that into your calculations, Monty.
But seriously, hope the guy is OK. Nothing like a freak accident to ruin your day...
