I have a 50 Beowulf that I have successfully hunted with...in the thick stuff where I'm only shooting 75-100yds max. Everything else for me is a .308 (my favorite round). The 450 is more versatile, has more power over the 50. I hunt eastern shore.
I carry as much as possible as much as I can within the law. I can skip having a drink when I am out because I feel being able to protect myself and my family is way more important than having that drink.
To get a Wear & Carry in Maryland as retired Military you still have to have the training. Training is only waved for Militarry Retireee on the HQL because you are not required to have an HQL as retired military. But you MUST get the training for the W&C
