I couldn't find the answer when I searched.

Do any of the sheriff offices issue non-resident permits on a walk in basis?

    Thanks

Adams and I believe York County allow you to apply by mail. They call you within two to three days to come pick it up. They may do walk in but it was so convenient to mail it in and be called for pick up that is what I did. I have Adams county.

York County did a walk in for my brother as I was picking up my PA permit , the officer said they don't do that normally but would while we were there .

You do the form and stuff in the mail and they will call you to pick up that way you know you will be good and they will finish the process . If you just show up you may be wasting your time .

And a Congrats on your permit .

Lancaster is the office to go to, It took longer to park and walk then to get the license.
Address: 50 North Duke Street, Lancaster, Pa 17602
Incl. parking , walking, and Sheriff's office less then 30 minutes.

I received my PA NR permit from York County and the deputy who issued it to me was flabbergasted by the draconian gun laws in MD. They called about 2 days after they received my application, and it was a very pleasant experience.

Just this past Friday, walked into Adam's Co sheriff office, showed my MD permit, filled out form, paid $20, walked out with PA nonresident permit.

York County. Mail app and 2 days later get call to pick up. Don't put more the 15 minutes in the meter.
