'Feel Good' vs real laws

    This is a game of perception and using labels.

    I propose that we start labeling all laws and ideas that really don't do anything to fix the crazy/criminal with a gun as 'Feel Good' laws.

    'Feel Good' laws are the ones which make the anti's feel good and don't solve the problem such awe, mags etc.

    So the discussion then goes and we trying to implement 'feel good' laws or those that will actually solve a problem? The idea is to put them on the defensive. If you don't think it's a feel good law then prove that it's not! Where are the real statistics or examples that a particular law fixes a problem? If you can't then it's a Feel Good law.

    This term has to be introduced into the press and into the vocabulary of the press. Liberals love 'label' words so 'Feel Good' laws is our label word.

    So dear Public, are you looking for 'Feel Good' laws to prevent firearm tragedies or real ones that actually help solve the problem?

    Feel Good laws simply don't solve the problem.

    Feel good/do nothing is a good name to attach to these laws.




    I wish that we could also use the phrase "criminalizing the second amendment"

    the problem with your argument is that it makes sense. Libs are never the types to let facts and knowledge get in the way of their arguments

    The problem is that many of the banners don't want you to own *ANY* guns. A few may even recognize that another AWB won't actually improve public safety, but it's not about facts or reasonable restrictions. This is about them getting whatever ban legislation they can pushed through before the opportunity to seize on a crisis fades. Because guns are evil.

    After "assault weapons" fade into the sunset they will target "non-sporting semi shotguns" and "scoped bolt sniper rifles" and handguns... because handguns are statistical source of 99% of violent gun crime after all. They will pull out statistics when statistics support their agenda.

    Those who believe are immune to logic, or statistics that prove otherwise. It's not an argument you can win.

    this is a fantastic idea, simple is better.

    Get the buzz words out there into peoples heads, for god's sake, the mantra that got JFK elected was just his name:
    "kennedy-kennedy-kenned-kennedy" member that?

    "feel good laws"
    now we're fighting fire with WATER!

    ^he's right, but the people who really believe this ******** are in the minority, the people that make it happen are the people that go along with it because it sounds plausible or sensible, and they really don't want to have to think about it too much- so we need to think for them!

    "feel good do nothing laws" might even be too much
    "feel good laws" that's catchy!
