Yeah, that sight was built specifically for the Reising, hence the scarcity. I've looked at lots of Reising 65s and it's funny, they fall into a very binary condition camp. Either pristine and mega bucks or whipped puppy (both of mine). I don't think I've ever seen one that's G-VG kinda middle ground condition. A scarce, NIB MC-58 just sold last weekend and I'm waiting for the hammer price to be listed. Last I saw it had a $750 absentee bid ($885 with the vig) when the pre-auction bidding closed and it went live. Cannot believe it could sell for less than $1300-1500. I'll literally cry if it did.

Much rarer than the Springfield M2/1922 which tend to top $2k.
Get a load of this one - had to be two stubborn, more money than brains bidders:

I remember that one! Yeah, seem to remember posting a thread about it, figured it must have been issued to Chesty Puller himself to get that kind of crazy bidding.

To the 65 owners, what ammo do your rifles like?
I had to use 22 standard velocity in order to sight and not have the peep sitting on the receiver. With HV stuff it is 8-10” high at 100yds.

I have only shot Federal Auto Match so far, and at 50 yds, but I was impressed with the group even though I was just function testing. First time I shot it it would eject and chamber a fresh round but not reset the trigger. After doing a deep clean and adjusting the trigger it now only acts up occasionally. I will play with more when I get a chance.
