Finally glad to have registered and looking forward to learning and sharing. I'm in Howard County (western).

I am less than 30 days away from receiving my W&C permit which is plenty of time to explore and learn.

    Thanks for having me.

Appreciate the gobs of welcomes. Any guidance on which forum would be appropriate to find info, or post a new thread asking about MD rules or laws when it comes to W&C. A good friend mentioned to me today that is it perfectly legal to have your weapon on the dash concealed with a ball cap. Just looking for more information. Thanks.

    Welcome !

The obvious subforums would be Maryland 2A or Training and Safety . More gear related could be Handguns . Once you amass enough posts , discussions that blur catagories frequently take place in the Water Cooler .

    *************

Without comment upon the Legality , " on the dashboard , under a ball cap" is certainly Not wise and prudent .

    Greetings!
Your friend may want to join the forum and read the Training & Safety forum. BF44 was right...Not wise or prudent.

Legal? Yes sir. Fvcking stupid? Absolutely. Put your cell phone on the dash then take a turn. Tell me what you think a gun will do?

In principle I suppose but every dash is different and this firearms instructor clearly knows what he's doing. Perhaps the center console is more appropriate for vehicles with slippery dashes.

If an Instructor actually said that unironically with a straight face , that would be a tip off to be skeptical of anything else they said .
