First time I was a newbie was when my SDI at Parris Island told me I was lower than the gum stuck on the bottom of his combat boot. When I got to Nam I was a newbie and only allowed to hold the dumb end of the 100 meter tape. At the Maryland State Police Academy I had to slam my back into the wall coming to attention whenever a uniformed Trooper walked by. At the Salisbury Barrack I had to trade cars each night because newbies didn't get their own cars for about 6 months. When I joined the STATE Team I had to practice with the teams for 6 months before I got to go on calls, and still had to do 50 pushups if I stepped on a rappel rope. When I started Karate classed with the OI I had to stand in the corner while being instructed by a 12 year old girl blue belt. Well I guess I can be a newbie one more time because this seems to be a well run site with friendly knowledgeable members.
