Never been to a harrisburg show before. Plan to make the trip up with my son mostly looking for reloading supplies and maybe a new deer rifle.

Harrisburg hosts a good show. I've been going there since the '80s. Back then it was around 1400-1500 tables but over time dwindled down to about half that. Over time a lot of vendors retired, sold out or passed away...one favorite vendor of mine passed on. The last four or five years it's been growing again. You should enjoy it.

If you want some good food...my buddies and I always eat nearby at the Peachtree Restaurant on North Progress Avenue. The food is excellent and more than reasonably priced. In particular I like their broasted chicken.

I remember when The Gianacopolous family first opened that place c.1990. Last year, someone else on MDS was talking about The Peachtree.
(I was born and raised around there)

I"ve gone there 2 times along with York 2 times.
Harrisburg I recall might have been smaller but in a much more open building with lots of space between the isles and easy parking.
York seemed to me a better show (for me looking for old stuff) but crowded and cramped.
If I had my druthers, I'd go to both (am I so old that I used the word druthers in a sentence?)
