Who has one? How do you like it? What caliber do you have and is finding ammo difficult? Couldn't do the world a favor and make them in '06 or something.

Guess you could include the FN 1900 although they're far less common.

It's up there with my "casually wanted" guns. Hopefully I trip over one sometime which calls my name.

.35 Remington ammunition is still fairly common. So try and find one in that caliber.

If it was good enough to help kill Bonnie and Clyde, then it should be good enough.

300 Savage for me. Also a Savage 99 in 300 Savage. No need to clog up the logistics!

That's the guy I'm talking to right now. He won't even give people an idea of what he's looking for. "Just seeing what people offer up" is what he says. It's a fishing trip.

    ---------Edit----------

Just heard back on what I offered up, seems like I've got a nibble? We'll see.

    -----End Edit---------

Meanwhile, Simpson Ltd has one.... for $8k!

It's near mint though with high-end engraving and hasn't been molested for a scope mount. It has the short-sight radius leaf-type rear sight with stepped sight elevator. It's gorgeous, but at that price I'd never get to shoot it.

Looks super nice! Me, I'd look for a 40's or early 50's vintage scope to replace the current mfg one. Just looks out of place on a vintage rifle. I'm thinking a Kollmorgen...

Yep, definitely thinking the same thing.

Trade is tomorrow in Frederick, I'll put up the trade details post-transaction to see what you guys think.
