Picked this up not too long ago. Figured you all might appreciate it as much as I do.

Would love to see other examples you all may have. This is the best US bayonet I’ve personally had in my possession. Now I just need to get something to put it on.

Sweet bayonet there, real nice piece. I have a couple US bayonets:

    SA M1905 made in 1911
    Remington M1917
    UFH 1942 cut down
    UFH undated

I don’t own any WWII US steel. Since the thread title doesn’t specify US Steel :D, here is an old pic of a couple of battle-worn WWII Russian blades.

    Top to bottom...
M1905 Springfield Armory made bayonet 1917 marked...may never have been issued as it's like new...full bluing on the metal with no signs of being used or sharpening after manufacture...
M1905 Rock Island Armory made bayonet 1918 marked...only slightly less apparent use than the SA made one above it...
    M1942 UFH marked...also great condition...
M1942 AFH marked...plated for parade use...
M1 bayonet PAL marked...doesn't appear to have much if any use...

Here’s my meager pile. Had dozens of wwii swords and bayonets a while back but did a downsize last year and sold just about everything. In this photo:
    German Kriegsmarine dagger
    German Army dagger
    German SA dagger
    US M1917
Japanese Type 30 (rare “Osaka” variant)
    US M1905

The rarity with the Jap bayo, is it because its been factory polished?

I'm not sure I ever seen Jap bayonet like it.
    Nice collection.

    Nice collection.

Very limited production numbers from the particular manufacturer is the rare factor with these. Factory bright blade before they started bluing them. Still has a tag on it with the vet’s name and serial number that brought it back. I was fortunate to find it at a pawn shop for next to nothing, and it’s the cleanest example of an Osaka bayonet that I’ve ever seen. Believe it or not it’s probably the most valuable of all the blades in that pile.
