    Looking for the value of a 1920’s colt 1911 government model.

    somewhere between $300 and $3000....

    seriously there are a lot of variables, condition & originality in particular; is it one of the 1924-era transition guns, etc.
    In general the commercial gov't model doesn't bring as much as the military 1911(-A1) in the same condition.

    Too many variables during that time period to give any kind of value estimate. That's when there were examples with transitional A1 features not fully integrated into the production line...the type of bluing process was changed...lots of little things beyond condition alone that will affect the market value.
