Ordered WLP’s primers from Al Flaherty’s Outdoor Store in Canada, shipped to my house $5.94 per 100. That includes across the border shipment and hazmat.

Needed them and thought that was a good price.

If these actually make it to you, I'll be impressed. All the other places in Canada flat-out refuse to cross-border ship primers.

Cheese, Al Capone could get truckloads of whiskey across the border during prohibiton, yet we can't get a product that is legal in both countries?

    ^^^^^^^^ "Road Trip!!!!!!!"

    :)

Just don’t get caught. You’d still need an export license for ammunition, firearms components, firearms or ammunition components between the countries.

There is an exception for low value items that are components. Not sure that covers things like primers though. It is either $100 or $150.

Sure of course with the right form you can take your particular firearm(s) and Ammo if legal across the border. People hunting, moving or just passing through to Alaska or border towns do it all the time. But it isn’t generally legal to go buy something on the naughty list to bring back to your home country without the export form (and the costs associated).

That’s why a handful of companies specialize in this (and take their tithe).

Here's a story from Boot Straps by Tom Girdler:
During prohibition a new flatbed truck pulled into a loading yard at Republic Steel in Canton, Ohio. The driver went into the office and asked "Did Republic make the steel in this shovel? I want a load of sheets of that steel but thicker. How much to put a load of that steel on the flatbed?" The truck was loaded and the driver paid $1500 cash. It was later learned that load of steel was destined to plate the pilot house of a rumrunner bringing alcohol to the states from Canada.
