Beatiful shooting rifle that was destroyed on the outside. Cleaned her up and had her melonite treated. Came out beautiful.

Probably shouldn't have done the bolt, but it's unique, and beautiful, and now the bore doesn't frost when I am lax about cleaning after corrosive ammo usage.

My Bubbafication is beginning transition to it's next level of super Bubbafication. Yes, full on Bubbafication sniper spec.

So, what is the plan? See below.

    Archangel stock
    18" SS 1:9.5 barrel threaded 5/8-24
    Timney trigger
    Sniper bolt body
Rock Solid hex receiver scope mount
    Scope and suppressor TBD.

steel jacketed ammo, like almost all corrosive surplus, will tear that stainless barrel apart.

I would get it nitride treated if I were you, but I am not impartial as I have a serious hard on for melonite

1943 Iz Nothing special as far as collectibility but it measures a 1.5 on a 308 muzzle gauge fire a bore as tight as my sniper. Bore is clean and shiny to so clean up is FAST. It shoots much better than I shot it today. Typically 2-3" groups at 100 if I let barrel cool with my reloads.

If you guys remember the Classic $89 Black Friday sale 2 years ago, this came from that.
The stock is very decent for a B Grade as they called them

The bubba'd Mosins might better be appreciated in the Rifle section. As I stated already, replacing the stock makes it no longer C&R.
I hope they shoot well for you. You can always post to the bubba thread. I'm awaiting pics of how these do on paper cause I don't typically see them shoot much better than a Mosin sniper or just one with a drill less scout scope.

I "customized" mine with a varmint wood stock. It's free floated, threaded the barrel and added a non fancy muzzle break. It reduces a whole lot of recoil and my groupings are better. Don't get me wrong, I got a carbine with all matched numbers, that stays in my safe.

So, how does the bolt cycle, and accuracy do now that it's melonited.
