Acquired a Bull/Target Threaded Barrel Savage B22 last week and put a cheap Simmons scope on it to take to the range today. Also took my Ruger 10/22 w/ a Target Bull barrel and 22 Suppressor to run on both. The Ruger typically does 1/2" 5 shot groups @ 50 yards from the bench on a calm day and me doing my part with CCI SV. Savage B22 shot very well both suppressed and unsuppressed. The Ruger I knew typically shoots Better suppressed with the added weight on the end. Ruger had one flyer @50 yards and wanted to run another 5 just to see but realized I grabbed a 50 box of CCI quiet instead of SV so I was out of 22 for the morning. I saved the CCI quiet for another day of testing. For as little wind there was today, I really wish I could have stayed longer and had the ammo to take to 100 yards.

This Savage is deserving much better glass. This simmons is a 9-24 scope but I can tell you this, much more than 12x and the image quality suffers. Simmons does not put quality glass in these cheap scopes.

All groups are 5 shots front and rear supported from the bench

I thought I'd treat myself to a wood stock from Boyds.
Forgot to run snap caps through it and the wood of the stock was interfering with the magazine seating fully and could not get rounds to feed.
Got home and relieved some wood and all is good.
Hopefully will take to range tomorrow weather permitting.
