I can keep going. You mentioned the two elephants that own a constellation of ammo manufacturers, but there are plenty of ones not owned by them. Even a few domestic ones.
Someone make the argument for me as to why "subscriptions" are a good idea, cuz on it's face I hate it.
Good for competition shooters and heavy trainers, bad for the regular guy who makes it to the range sometimes. Just reminds me of "fast pass" tickets at amusement parks. Creating class systems.
I agree with the article in one respect. We heard that the ammo component supply chain was bottlenecked by contracts, keeping supplies down. But when Reminington came back with a new owner, there should have been no contracts and supply should have been ramped up to consumers, but it wasn't. I have yet to see Remington components for sale online or in stores to any great degree when normal supply and demand should have had them everywhere..
