Thought I read it explicitly in one of their press releases.

It was in one of their press releases. And it does make a certain amount of sense. Otherwise think of everyone who’d be pissed as paper wait times would get even worse if resources were spent on the eForms first. It would make the most sense, at least till paper forms are worked up to the point when eForms came live, to work the paper first.

Otherwise paper backlog would get longer as resources are used on the eForms.

That is probably what's going to happen. I hope you're wrong. These long waits are ********. I want my can
    Sigh....

"You want your can? You'll wait like the rest of those who applied!" - BATFE

Personally, the waiting is ********. But come back when you wait 5.5 months on a eForm 1 SBR that should have come back in 30 days or less. Then you'll have every right to complain.

I waited 8 months for my cans back in 2020-2021. It should have been 6 months, but the USPS fvcked me and my FFL over on delivering the error letters.

I'm tired of the waiting. I'm tired of the people that complain about "I want my _____. And the waiting isn't fair!". It's like they are entitled for some reason. Newsflash, it won't go any faster if you complain. If anything, it'll take longer.

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride.

The entire ordeal is BS, as you say, complaining won't make it better, although good old funding and advocacy work might. Personally, I kick a couple bucks to SAF when I buy NFA stuff in hopes the good juju speeds up my wait, last year got a F4 back in 4 months, so might be something to it. As for this, was told last time I called for status the "goal" is to clear paper backlog and get eform wait times to 90 days by ......2023, then eventually within 30 days for eforms and 90 days for paper, but current 2021 apps are running 9-12months. Reddit's NFA tracker thread is still in the 1st 1/2 of march 2021 approvals

I'm not complaining. Just sayin'. My first one took 13 months. I'm getting too old for long waits. I'll be 70 next year. Might not be around when the stamp comes through.

We are always on the defensive for 2A issues. One area that SHOULD be an easy win is to get suppressors deregulated, since there is zero correlation between suppressor availability and gun deaths. Even socialist Britain allows their subjects to own a suppressor cash and carry. There is simply no reason the US and Canada cannot be the same.

To be more specific, Britain requires their use in a lot of cases so as not to create undue noise pollution and to avoid being ungentlemanly to one's neighbors.
