Accomack County 2A Sanctuary Vote 12/18!

Adding a few more pics to the Accomack County BoS meeting archive taken last night.

A big thanks again to BigK (left, lower 2 pics) and new MDS member Krookedken (right, obscured in same 2 pics, sorry Ken) for joining us in Accomack County last night to hold signs, a Patriot Picket banner and flags.

Given the matchbox-sized BoS meeting room, you can see why so many Patriots stood in the hallways and outdoors on the front steps (and out into the street, despite the cold) to testify or just to listen to the proceedings there in person:

I worked with the two strongly pro second amendment supervisors, Harris Phillips and Paul Muhly to get a solid resolution to the board, including "Second Amendment Sanctuary" status for Accomack, but because of fierce opposition from some distinctly NON-pro-second amendment supervisors, we had to go back and forth several times to even come up with anything close to what we originally presented. It was a struggle, but a victory that much sweeter in that Accomack is the home county of scurrilous bastard Ralph "Blackface" Northam! Stick THAT in yer eye, Ralphie!! :mad54:

Here is what you Virginians need to wonder. How can almost every VA county declare themselves sanctuary counties but yet VA voters elected all democrats to the legislature? Something is wrong here. Sounds like not enough peeps got out and voted.

This, plus some districts didn't have repubs running. And, the guv gave felons the right to vote a year or so ago.

Sad, but no denying it... Hell, we even had ADVANCE notice when they tabled the proposed legislation until NOVEMBER. NOVEMBER? What could POSSIBLY HAPPEN IN NOVEMBER THAT WE NEEDED TO PAY ATTENTION TO?

The raw number of countries, or the geographic area doesn't mean squat . Fairfax county has 1.1 million people . Add Arlington Co , the embedded independent cities, adjacent portions of Loudin and PW , plus City of Richmond , and that's a majority of the population right there .

There has to be a way to keep urban majorities from ruling over the entire rest of the state. I have heard something about going back to a state senate of two people from each county, but short of that, is there any other way?

General Comments: How many VA gun owners don't belong to a gun-rights organization, e.g., VCDL, GOA, etc.? Some gun owners are oblivious as long as their specific firearm is not banned, theirs are NEXT! Just because someone votes Democratic doesn't mean they are against the 2d Amendment, they may be gun owners and may be against what is happening. Where is the NRA? Their HQs is in VA! All I've been hearing is VCDL this, VCDL that; while the NRA tears itself apart. Kudos to the VCDL - standing TALL! I'm tired of people who are clueless about firearms but become authorities on what should be banned. I cannot attend the Richmond Lobby Day but donated three bus seats. So if you can attend, free ride.

Interesting thing about all this is the antis have made the NRA into a huge Boogie Man over the past couple decades, the source of all evil in the world. But in VA now, the NRA is completely MIA, yet there's still massive pushback to the anti's proposed bills from the grassroots with nobody in particular at the helm. Hopefully this is scaring the snot of of the smarter members of the anti camp.

China has the same problem in Hong Kong: How do you fight a widespread protest movement when there aren't any obvious leaders to arrest, harass, or otherwise hold at risk? The choice is do essentially nothing and look powerless, or go scorched earth, risking destroying what it was you were trying to keep control of.

The NRA is still on the case, specifically the NRA-ILA.

NRA-ILA is hosting a big meeting Saturday, January 4, 2020 on the Virginia Eastern Shore at 10 AM in Belle Haven, VA to discuss the 2020 Virginia General Assembly session:

Pre-existing Civil rights aren’t subject to a popular vote.

Thank you OMCHamlin for your work behind the scenes to get this Second Amendment Resolution on the BoS agenda agenda in time for the favorable vote this month.

Your timing was perfect to enable Accomack County to join the many other VA counties in this wave of liberty washing over the Commonwealth.

What you achieved before the meeting ever took place is the textbook example of how anything like this ever gets done in the first place, and we owe you a debt of gratitude.
