I have a Ruger 10/22 that is threaded for suppressor. What 22lr suppressors would you recommend? Dead Air mask seems like a very nice one!

I'm from the Gaithersburg/Germantown area. Any guns shops around my area that carry suppressors and can help me get my tax stamp, paperwork etc.?

    Thanks for your help!

You might want to get suppressor that can do both 22LR and the magnum calibers as well. I have a CGS Hydra AL (aluminum) which is nice and light (half the weight) but won't do magnum calibers. IMHO, the aluminum cans are great for handguns since you don't have all that weight hanging off the end. But aluminum is more more restrictive for cleaning; certain solvents won't work. There is also a CGS Hydra SS (stainless steel) that is magnum rated.

As far as shops go, Engage in G-burg has a photo and fingerprint kiosk. They may even have a dead air mask in stock.

I would not buy another aluminum 22 can. Cleaning sucks. Look for one with SS baffles.
The mask is an excellent choice. Can’t go wrong with that.
If you found a mask in stock at a decent price, grab it.

Element 2 here. Love it. Works great on my 10/22. In a few weeks I’ll hopefully see how it works on my new buckmark (I’ll need to get a tac sol barrel). A few days till not disapproved.

+1 to Silencershop and Engage. OSS Rad for me. Less blowback keeps the guns cleaner and functional without any modifications. Probably not as quiet as some of the other suggestions.

Just picked up the Q Erector today at Cindy’s in Glen Bernie. Great can and as quiet as they get come. I was between the Dead Air Mask and the Q myself. I have the Dead Air Wolfman and love it for 9mm and 300BLK just wanted to try something different for the 22. Best part about sending your new toy somewhere with a range is you can play with it while it sits in jail lol. Good luck , you can’t go wrong with anything that’s been mentioned just don’t go cheap you’ll regret it.

Have a DA Mask and Rugged Oculus. Shot and considered the Sico Sparrow. Couple things IMO are a requirement, being they get dirty fast, has to be easy to dissasemble and clean. Steel baffles are awesome, sonic cleaner, the dip, steel brushes, wet tumblers, clean it how you want. Aluminum baffles are limited in how they can be cleaned, but can weigh 1/2 of what steel baffles do. They are all about 5" and 6.5oz, FA rated and rated up to 5.7x28, steel baffles and user serviceable. The mask is probably the quietest, definitely the least first round pop, but the mount can unscrew from the tube. The sparrow is a solid can, the monocore design is the easiest to clean, but has the most FRP by far, and a little louder than the others, especially on a pistol. First time I handles a Rugged Oculus, I had to have one, it's the most versatile. It can be put together as a 3" 4.3oz mini can, hearing safe and tiny on a pistol, pretty quiet on a rifle. In full size it's slightly longer/heavier than the others, but sounds great, similar to the Mask, but a hair deeper tone and a little more FRP, but better than the sparrow. It's also a bit more complicated to take apart and reassemble, but all in all it is my favorite.
