I have the 8348 Target version. Heavier than what you want, but makes a solid suppressor host. Everyone that shoots it loves it. The trigger is pretty solid out of the box, but Timney has a drop in that I'm tempted to try just because. I wouldn't hesitate to get one again.

Like the Henry X Models? Factory threaded, tube fed, black composite stock, now side gate loading too, with 1913 rails on top.

I have not seen one in rimfire yet, but I home they go that route. If I am wrong send me a link and I will click buy today.

I have one John. It knocks cans at 75 yards. I bought it for my wife to shoot something small. Probably needs a resight in but it’s a great little gun. I would 100% buy another one.

I have only found one 8351 for sale and that guy wants $500 and $45 to ship it. That is a little to steep for me. I have found several of the 8334 with the green stock for as low as $343 but, that green stock looks like puke.

I have the plain Jane 8301, got it from Bass Pro a few years ago. Topped with a 4x32 scope it became my favorite CMP Rimfire Sporter gun, until my wife decided it was her favorite CMP Rimfire Sporter gun:lol2:

It’s been a very solid performer with no issues to date!

I've got two, both topped with Nikon Prostaff Rimfire scopes. One is my primary squirrel gun. It knocked off the 10/22 fairly quickly for that job. I also now have my wife's muddy girl camo version which I purchased from her in trade for a chocolate chip cookie a couple of years ago. She quit hunting/shooting a few years back and it's destined to be a project gun when I finally get around to it. Both have been consistent performers and have handled everything from subsonics to HV reliably and accurately.

Picked up my RAR today from Valentine Fabricators in Glen Burnie. I think I can live with the green stock but I couldn't live with the rough bolt action or heavy creepy trigger. I just finished putting a couple of hours of polishing and re-contouring the bolt way and now it works like it should. I have to work on the mag dropping free as it doesn't. I'll throw a 3-9x40 AO scope I'm not using on it and maybe get out next Monday to try it out.

One thing I noticed about the stock is that it does not have any flex at all. I have read about people having problems with forearm flex but maybe Ruger changed the makeup of the polymer that they use now. Also, it is full free floating unlike some that I have read about.

I have had 2 for years. They are the compact with 2 stock modules. My 18 yo son still loves plinking with his. The stock can grow with the kid. He's 6'3" and still enjoys shooting it.
    0 issues. 0 regrets.
Now I'm remembering him at 8 or 10 and getting sad.

(not the Precision Rifle) If you do, do you like it? Would you buy it again?

    TIA

I had a bolt action which shot shorts to LRHP, was the best 22 I ever owned and loved it. I also had a 10/22 which was a good gun but not as good as the bolt action. I have been downsizing and gave them to my son. I now just have a Henry Military tribute lever action 22 which has been really great too but not as good as the bolt action.
