Comparing the Bergara B-14R Trainer to the BMR in 22LR, is the HMR stock on the trainer model the main factor in the price difference? The specs are quite similar, +/-2 inches, +/-3 lbs, and stock appearance are the the main differences I see. Ultimate Reloader did a video featuring the two side by side but all I see is one rifle geared toward the Rem 700 platform and one towards lighter weight or hunting. Are you basically paying extra to get the Rem 700 platform or is there more I am not seeing?

B14-R is intended as a trainer for a full-fat PRS gun. The 700 platform compatibility is so you can set it up precisely the same way.

The BMR is more of a straight NRL-22 rifle, not that you couldn't use the B14-R for it, too.

Both are nice bolt action rimfires. If you plan to modify/upgrade things, the B-14R having an R-700 platform provides loads of options. If you want to keep it as is, the BMR fits the bill and will save you some money.
