I am looking for a portable chair for a single person pop-up blind (I mean, or two-person, but portable is the key).

I've been using a tripod stool, that sucks for my back to sit for more than about 45 minutes. I switched to using just a plain old Walmart camp chair, which actually worked pretty well. However, it sucks to carry (no carry bag, so I improvised with a couple of straps, one to hold it closed, one to attach it to throw over my shoulder). Something that swivels would be nice, maybe a tiny bit lower, but it isn't a bad height. Lighter would be really nice too.

Most of the ones I see poking on Cabela's website are sized for permanent blinds and mostly bigger guys. I am not small, I am 6'1" and 190lbs, but I am seeing weight capacities of 300 and 400lbs on most of them and that is just massively overbuilt for me. Especially when I am hoping for something as light as possible that isn't going to fold like a cheap suit.

Swiveling would be nice, but I don't think critical.

I'd prefer cheap (wouldn't we all prefer free?), but I don't mind spending some on it if it can really check all the boxes of light (I have it in my mind something in the 5-7lb range), sturdy enough for my size, not too tall, but not sitting on the ground/sized for a midget, and swiveling.

This caught my eye, but it seems maybe too low to comfortably sit in a blind and see out. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/BlackOut-Turkey-Lounger-Folding-Hunting-Chair Doesn't swivel either, but not necessarily the end of the world, though being so long seems like it would make it hard to switch up which "window" I am aiming out of with the lack of swivel.

I am using a walmart version of this now https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/pursuit-camo-collapsible-hunting-armchair?rrec=true though sounds like it includes a carry bag/velcro strap to keep it closed. Which is sure more convenient for carrying than what I am using, but not better in any other way.

This one seems like it has it all (well, arm rests would be nice, but now I am looking for the brass ring) https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/millennium-treestands-blind-chair but that price is...ouch. I don't think I hunt from a ground blind often enough to be worth forking over that much $$$.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

To add, I am tempted to try a tripod chair, but I am worried it really just isn't going to be that comfortable for an all-day sit. I'd imagine a lot more comfortable than a tripod stool. I guess for a cheap one, it might be worth a try and see how it does around the house, like using it around my fire pit for a couple of hours. Less restrictive than a full chair for shooting from it, light and small/easy to pack. But if I have to get up every 20 minutes to stretch, that's not going to work. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mac-Spor...po0qpuqSw&athancid=null&athposb=0&athena=true

If shooting with gun or crossbow, get a turkey chair!!! those chairs are no comparison and a turkey chair I can sit in for 6 hours straight, unless I got to pee. I use mine to sit on the driveway with the dogs in the summer as it is so comfortable to be in. They couldn't make them better unless they came with a headrest for a nap. ;)

My daughter bought this blind. Its sturdy as hell, easy to put up and take down. It is also built to work lower profile like a turkey chair. The Ameristep type blinds can be hard to use a turkey chair in those blinds as they are made for taller chairs.

What about old school, five gallon bucket from HD and a swivel padded seat?
Alice pack, but the bucket inside, then fill with whatever else your taking. If you leave the blind set up you only have to carry it once.

I’ve used the little tri stool before and without some padding an hour is all I’m good for too, then it’s fidgeting time.

My name should be Pail Rider. ;)
