  • Ordered my very first AR-15 rifle yesterday after much research and the okay from the wife. Ordered a Windham Weaponry HBar. I have read many good reviews on this company and this rifle. I have only fired an AR once and it was a rifle my brother built himself so I really don't have much to compare it to. Every other rifle I own is a big bore hunting rifle. I'm really looking forward to getting it next week and getting out to the range after some study on the workings of the rifle.

Does anyone have any experience with this rifle/company? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and experiences. It's a model R16A4T. It wasn't easy to get the wife to agree to this one. Finding an AR rifle that is even available to ship to MD was a chore. Most of what I saw in the local stores to me just wasn't what I was looking for and pricing was night and day. I will buy local when prices are close, say within $75 but, when they are a higher difference than that I have to take the lower price. Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore has the best prices imaginable but, I still bought it from Dave at Blue Fins because he was within my window of financial competition. Can't wait to get it!! :party29:

I did the same for my first AR. WW is a good company. Sign up for thier emails. I have over 500 rounds through mine with no hickups. I did replace the furniture to get an FDE look. Have fun with it!

Be very, very careful. The people here are enablers. You will soon be spending a lot of money to feed your habit :)

WW is a good company and they make damn good rifles. You won't find a quality entry level rifle for a better price, unless you build it yourself.

    A word of warning:
