A legacy of bringing people together that outlives us is the best we can all hope for and while I didn’t know him personally I mourn for the loss to the community. RIP and condolences to his family.

    RIP.

We all leave our footprints behind - some are larger than others.

I never met the man, but I have seen his work.

And I would say his are quite large, indeed.

Can we do the coin but with the black band on it and a phrase

If it was two sided maybe one side says "Don - DD214" and the other side says "In tribute to the man who brought so many together" or something similar

I never knew him. But I owe a lot to this site.

:patriot::patriot::patriot:RIP DD214. I did not have the pleasure of being acquainted with him. That's a cool picture that Norton posted on the first page of DD214 having fun with that 50 cal. Salute

 That would be a nice tribute.

I haven't posted on here in several years, but just heard the news through Facebook and was shocked and saddened. I felt I needed to come back here to post my condolences.

I have many great memories from, and because of this forum, and had the pleasure of meeting Don at one of the local meet and greets. I want to express my gratitude for the times that he helped make possible here. I wish I could have known him better. He will be missed.

I just signed on after long day and I don't want to believe this to be true. This is a fuching gut punch if there ever was one. All I got right now is Stevenson's Requiem.

I came seeking knowledge of a new gun and found so much more. I’ve met some of the best people I know right here on this forum thanks to Don. The Delmarva shoots, SoMD meet and greets and just hanging out and listening to old Navy stories were always full of belly laughs and good times.
    Rest in peace Don.

My condolences to DD214’s many friends here. I never knew him, and I’m sure I would have enjoyed meeting him if I could have.

I am attending a memorial service today (Saturday) for one of my oldest friends, who died in March at just age 64, a former Fire Chief of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department.

The loss of all our loved ones and friends is the source of profound grief; the recent loss of so many well before their time seems almost unbearable.
